Monster Hunter's Last G-Rank...
After previously reaching G-Rank in MHGU and playing the Monster Hunter Wilds open beta, I had the sudden realization that MHGU holds the last G-Rank in the series D: This time I finally churn through the G1 and G2 key quests and get to beat Lao-Shan Lung for the first time since I did in MHFU on the PSP as a wee little lad.
Nostalgia works wonders because I don't remember his hunt being so boring.

*Apologies for the subpar quality/editing in this one, I'm trying to get used to a new workflow in a new program. The excessive Sharpen deep-frying also caused some low-quality artifacting during rendering. Anyways, I appreciate the feedback and support (public AND private) ❤️

After playing the open beta test, I think Monster Hunter Wilds is shaping up to be the greatest monhun of all time (while simultaneously turning my PC into a jet engine). Damn, MHGU in emulator with a proper field of view looks immaculate.
i have a feeling wilds will be hype for a while, like rise, and then it's going back to GU anyway. unmatched MH title. especially seeing that all weps have counters/s, like in sunbreak, instead of having the more grounded approach to weapons that world had.

good video! how did you manage to make your camera be so far away?
i think he's emulating the switch version and swapped the button textures for his ps controller and zoomed out the cam to match the new games either way i'm jealous it looks crisp. i play mhgu on citra (3ds emu) but it doesnt look this good
@@madscientistfan Thank you! yes I am emulating my MHGU save imported from my switch and emulation allows me to adjust camera distance and button layouts with mods + play at 60fps

I love GU. Took me years to get to G-Rank, even after I imported my save from the 3DS. There's just so much shit to do in that game. Took me nearly two weeks playing daily to finish up all the villager requests of HIGH RANK to catch up to endgame. I'm playing Sunbreak now before Wilds releases, but I think I'll get back to GU eventually. That game is endless.
@@varyagace Yeah as much as I love how much content they stuffed into GU, there were definitely times when I got burnt out from the sheer amount of stuff I had to do. I'd say playing multiplayer occasionally really helped !! Enjoy your Sunbreak playthrough!

Bruh, you didn't get to experience best feature exclusively for <=6gb VRAM cards - fighting monsters in their purest form - the polygon, the hitboxes
