      Eu fiz o degrau com perfil Z normal e fechei o espelho com chapa fina por trás. Também é possível pedir para dobrar chapa para formar um conjunto de alguns degraus com espelho já fechado.

      Depende de como vai ser realizado a ligação no detalhamento. Neste caso, será ligação flexível por dupla cantoneira. Logo, no cálculo deve-se considerar viga vi-articulada. Se no det fosse feito solda em todo contorno e adicionado enrijecedores, aí sim seria ligação rigida (esgaste).

No caso do Cype, voce deve solicitar acesso para versão de estudante. Também pesquise no Google Cypecad Versão de Estudante, e solicite este link. Provavel que neste caso voce tera que falar com a Multiplus para solicitar.

No momento de lançar as cargas de vento, não me aparece as hipóteses de vento com cpi0 e cpi-0.3. E no começo do curso vc fez a criação das hipóteses de vento, mas não fala do cpi0 e cpi-0.3.     Hello sir, I am trying to use the connector axial nonlinear damping, defining force & velocity, to simulate a viscous damper behavior under simple cyclic motion (displacement over time) using sin wave, i have displacement versus force data which have been collected from the lab, i found the velocity for each time increment, my question is, for nonlinear force & velocity data, do i need to define positive and negative forces and velocities, or only positive data are enough to describe the behavior in both directions?, viscous damper should have the same behavior in both directions, and also Nice video, thanks for your efforts, i have been waiting for the nonlinear damping video you talked about 😅.

      You should define the negative part of the curve as well because if not, Abaqus will extrapolate linearly or as a constant level of force dependying on the option you choose for extrapolation.     Great content! Well explained👍. If the objective is to find the stress on the bolt due to pre-tension, which of the two methods you would recommend and why?

      I'd recommend the one the uses the translator connector, because the force will come from the nut region, which is what happens in reality. But the standard method also yields to representative stress countour in the bolt. A good exercise would be to test it by yourself. Create the same bolted connection using these two different techniques and compare the stress countour plot on the bolt. Great question, by the way.

      @@tonywilliams5340 you will have to define a force versus displacement curve in which for positive displacement (traction) there will be a specific stiffness, and for negative displacement (compression) there’s no stiffness. I do this to model the suspension jounce bumper, but in this case it’s the opposite (there’s only stiffness for compression)

      @@tonywilliams5340 in the case of zero stiffness for compression, you should create to points in the stiffness curve like this: for displacement equals 0, force equals 0; for displacement equals -100, force equals 0. If you have a deflection greater than -100, then Abaqus will extrapolate using the inclination defined by the last 2 points. Therefore it will keep force equals 0.

      Yes, it is possible. A good example of usage of displacement boundary condition for bolt pretension is when you have to apply a bolt pretension of 80 kN, for instance, and you create a first step where you apply a displacement BC in the connector just to initialize the contact between the parts, or even to close an initial GAP. It’s much easier to reach for convergence with displacement BCs. Then, let’s suppose that in the first step you reach a pretension load of 30 kN. On the second step, you can apply a load boundary condition to reach to the required 80 kN. On the second step, since the contacts are already initialized and GAPs closed, it’s going to be much easier to get your model converged. Let me know if you had any doubt.

Quando é feito o dimensionamento pelo Dimperfil, mesmo a verificação dando certo, aparece a mensagem: "1 - Verificação à Flexão Composta 1.1 - Barras submetidas à compressão centrada [NBR 14762 - 9.7] 1.1.1 - Aumento da resistência ao escoamento devido ao efeito do trabalho a frio NBR 14762 Anexo B.1: a) para barras submetidas a compressão e a flexão constituídas por seções onde todos os elementos apresentam λp <= 0,673 calculado com fy conforme 9.2 CONDIÇÃO NÃO SATISFEITA! " Poderia comentar sobre essa "condição não satisfeita" e sobre a real influência dela no dimensionamento?

    Caro Renato, esta dando um erro (Tipos incompatíveis) quando clico em "Mostrar Resultados" . Mas percebo que na caixa do Lambda Y não mostra o resultado. E o programa trava.

      eu tenho dois perfis. Um para cursos em ingles e outro para cursos em portugues. Eu tenho curso de elementos finitos em portugues tambem, só que usando abaqus. Esta no meu perfil onde tem o cursos de estruturas metalicas. Não pretendo desenvolver legenda para o curso em ingles
