Kind of speaks to predestination and lack of agency doesn't it. Sort of, do whatever you can do in your best effort and be it right or wrong, it's God who did it really. Hmmmm sounds like "Allah's will" to me. Guess what folks, that's false doctrine. Everything that happens in your life isn't Allah's will. We make mistakes, so did Nephi, and yes, it was a learning experience. The atonement is to help us overcome our mistakes. Any doctrine that obviates us from mistakes takes away from the atonement.

If it’s chastity, then we can marry. Does that mean gay couple can marry then have relationship?

A good friend asked me once if I thought homosexuality was a sin. Before I could give her my answer she deleted me from her life. What I wanted to tell her was this. No, it’s not a sin to have those desires or feel that way. The sin comes when a person acts on those desires. Like Elder Holland says here it’s about chastity.

They do make a judgement. Let’s say a gay couple and a lad Ian couple obey the law after chastity they then marry. They still cannot marry in the temple and the church has even reached to excommicate them just for being same sex married. It is not simply about chastity. Shame on him for lying to these youth while pretending to simply claim chastity is the only issue.

He says chastity is bound by legal marriage, but a gay married couple cannot be sealed in the temple, so no, the blessings are not the same. He lies as easily as he breathes.

‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 King James Version 13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Chastity is always part of the conversation.... but God made gender and he does with it what He wants. I suggest not limiting the work of the Holy Spirit... God does not answer to you or me what he does with gender. Too me Chastity and Gender are two sides of the same coin. I hear about chastity all the time. Open your ears!

Chastity is indeed the issue. I do think, though, that homosexual activity is worse by its nature. Not only do you break the LoC, you're also acting without "natural affection". There are serious consequences for that level of perversion.

So as long as you legally marry, is it OK then? If that's the case, teach that. And yes, LDS pass on judgement strongly, they have done so for decades. Only now they begin to soften the discourse and act as if they behaved otherwise in the past it's absolute madness.

Elder Holland didn't answer the question for the lgbtq brother or sister. It's easy to be chaste if you're not attracted to the opposite sex or if your not attracted to same sex. For lgbtq you will have to remain single and may choose to allow yourself to feel alone or lonely through your mortal life but never lie to God. We can fool and lie to ourselves and our fellow man but you will be miserable if you live a lie.

Amazing how Mormon theology changes with the wind. When US. Congress refused to allow Utah statehood, due to polygamy & pedophilia .God came to the Mormon church and told them to give up multiple wives & sex with children... In1978, Jessie Jackson led a planned Salt Lake City protest of Blacks non admission to the priesthood & the temple. 100,000 Black men were organizing a protest in Utah of racist Mormon church teachings; Then, that same year, God then came to the Mormon church and told them black people were now okay. For 180 years, Mormon church taught hateful things towards Gays. Now in 2023, after bad press, God has told the Mormon church to back off the condemnation of Gays...Interesting timing of God's revelations & heat the Mormon Church was feeling.
