    That is a very nice idea but i do hate the amount of waste. With open air it is easier to just prepare the right amount of resin and vacuum chamber it to get the mixing bubbles out. Then pour into the mold with a thin fluid line to avoid picking up air during pouring. My cleaning consists of letting my flexible mixing cup harden out and tear out the remaining hardened resin. I do love 3d printing for quick molds, i even glued mold parts together to create larger molds than my printer can handle. I will keep an eye on this startup, i do like the idea.

    Go to their website and all chemicals are sold out. Nothing is really for sale.. No way I signup for this kickstart that does not have even the basic chemicals in stock and no links to other suppliers either!

    If you broke a printed part, it means you didn't bake it enough (low temperature) or chose the wrong material. Try buying good nylon and printing it at 260-280 degrees. You'll split this brick with this part)

    İ think you should show-off this machine's capability of producing uv resistant clear parts more as it contrasts 3d printing. Like after you cast the skull you could do another cast over it with a clear gel-like material to make anatomical figures for educational models. Also another marketing idea would be making lost foam parts for metal casting as the lost pla/resin metal casting method is costly and very slow, you can make foam parts way cheaper and faster.

    • @NeckogIndustries
      @NeckogIndustries 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      UV resistant clear resins are generally for automotive applications and require heated molds also resins are really expensive. We will show this in the future for sure. Using polyurethane foam for lost foam casting can be dangerous : 1. Toxic Fumes: Polyurethane foam, when exposed to high temperatures, can release toxic fumes, including isocyanates and other harmful chemicals. These fumes can be hazardous to your health if inhaled, so proper ventilation and protective equipment are essential. 2. Incomplete Burnout: Polyurethane foam will not vaporize fully as cleanly as polystyrene, leading to residue in the mold cavity. This can result in defects in the final cast piece. 3. Fire Hazard: Polyurethane foam is flammable and can ignite easily when exposed to molten metal, creating a fire hazard. Commonly polystyrene foam is used for lost foam casting.

    Safety glasses are way cooler than eye patches and glass eyes. Make sure to set a good example for your future customers by using proper PPE since resins and hardeners contain very nasty chemicals that are being pressurized by your injection machine. I would go even further with a full face shield because I've had hardener splash in my face while helping a coworker pour it into a container. Safety glasses protected my eyes, but some splashed on my lips and instantly wicked into my mouth. MSDS said it's necrotic to flesh, so our safety guy had me flush my mouth and face for probably 30 minutes straight. I had numbness on my lips and part of my mouth for days. It happened 14 years ago, but you never know what kind of lasting effects or future complications a single incident can create. If I can save someone else from the trouble and make sure nobody else finds out how nasty that crap tastes or feels in their mouth, then I've turned my negative into a positive for others. Be safe. 😉

    Looks neat, Why not just make this system so dirt cheap mixing nozzles (literally cost penne's wholesale) can be changed vs going through a cleaning/clearing process for one nozzle? I bought a bag of 3M twist on nozzles 2 years ago for epoxy and still have full bags. Thx in advance for any input

    • @NeckogIndustries
      @NeckogIndustries 22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thank you. If the lines are not cleaned properly resin dries in the system and clogs pipes and pumps. You are right nozzles are pretty cheap around $2. Cleaning system is much cheaper than changing the nozzles. It costs about 0.1-0.2$ per cleaning. Also no clogs in the system over-time.

    Really cool system, and for the price point, it's an affordable RIM system. What kind of pumps are you using for resin dispensing? Pressurized cylinders? Peristaltics? I'd like to back, depending on what viscosity of A/B it can handle. It looks like you're using a very low viscosity urethane. Can this handle thicker systems? 10k centipose or higher?

    • @NeckogIndustries
      @NeckogIndustries หลายเดือนก่อน

      Pumps are our own design. We will have more videos on higher viscosity materials. It does handle higher viscosity materials flow limits are lower on the high viscosities.
