For some reason, I never got a notification to your comment -- either that or I just missed it through my 1000s pointless ones! So I'm sorry for only getting back to you now! Anyway, you had your say and here's mine: I do believe that people, yes even Christians, can be brainwashed when I think of the likes of the infamous Westboro Baptist Church etc; with their cultish motives and hate speeches. However, I myself have not been. I'm going to look past the fact that you didn't even know whether I came from a Christian home or not, but yes, I do - you got that right! A lot like you, I myself worried if I'd ever been 'brainwashed'/only believed what I did because it was the only thing I'd ever known. I took a step back from Christianity when I was about 13/14 because although I couldn't get rid of the belief in my heart that God was real, I was afraid of being seen as a 'Christian', because of people like you who assume I do not have a mind of my own. However, through reading up on atheism from those who are in favour of it and into the likes of the big bang theory, I came to the realisation that none of our existence could have been from an accident. Actually, being a Christian opens up so many doors to life's many questions it's quite outstanding. If you'd check my most recent video on my "Eureka Moment", you'll find why I am certain in my faith now. Yes, I am young and that's probably why you assumed I was "brainwashed", but I assure you my family have always let me make my own decisions and if I had to decided to turn from my faith they would have loved me the same - simply, our interests would have been different. Science does not contradict creation, it is the study of it... and it is so wonderful! Please do not feel sorry for me, I have all I'll ever need both here on Earth and in the afterlife. I know my God is real - and whether you choose to acknowledge it or not, He is your God too. Your lack of belief in Him does not disprove His existence. Let me also remind you, the big bang etc has not been proven either. Maybe you're interested in Darwin, maybe you're not... But here's a quote from him anyway: "To suppose that the eye with all its inimitable contrivances for adjusting the focus to different distances, for admitting different amounts of light, and for the correction of spherical and chromatic aberration, could have been formed by natural selection [evolution], seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest degree." I feel sorry for you. It's quite clear you have been brainwashed by sin and blinded by the god of this age - Satan. I once was too! Nobody is born a believer, you have to believe it in your heart. I feel sorry for you as well because you have never known love. Forgive me when I say this here as I obviously do not know your family circumstance, but you could perhaps say, "Don't be outrageous! My mother loves me!" But, Mr. Mills, until she knows God and/or you know God yourself, you will never know love. 1John 4:8, "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love." Joel 2:12, "It's never too late to return to me with all of your heart." Isaiah 53:6, "We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him [Jesus] the punishment of us all." I want to finish with saying that no matter your upbringing, no matter your previous beliefs, God's arms are always open and Robert, He loves you. How could He not? You're His masterpiece.
