Is the manual timing/mag adjuster on the left handgrip a 65 exclusive thing? All the notes in the shop manual seem to single out those parts only to a 65. I'm starting to try and get one running and want to be ordeing the right parts.

Went to a auto auction in 2004. Picked up a CHP Kawasaki. Fell over when I won the bike for 15 bucks. The clutch lever had me fooled too. Safety Last. Smitty

Evolution motor is bulletproof. Beautiful machine.

I never heard that you had to pull the clutch in. Maybe they did that for the cop bikes

On my evolution bikes I always put a button on the end of the solenoid....

I do like those handlebars, I've got a dyna .... convertible. And I have Sportster bars but I would like to find a set of those bars for it they look like a lot better or more comfortable....

How do bidders know whether a bike is in rideable condition or needs work when bidding ? Is buying an antique or classic bike at an auction as "safe" as buying from a private party or dealer?

Take a good look at how well those bags have held up for 68 years! It's too bad that Softail bags turn to mush in a couple of years.

What kind of hub is on the rear end ? Good looking Bike . Triumphs are my Favorite Bikes .

Little work, little cleaning, little tightening, little tuning. You've got a head turner.

900 cc unless it has a 4-5/8" Stroker Kit. These bikes take 30 min valve train adjustment, and chain adjustment and front to back inspection for every hour of riding. Not a beginner's bike. You better be a good mechanic man.

My Dad had a 1960..same color except it had a white seat and white grips. White leather bag on the windshield. It was a beautiful bike, he loved it. This was in 1970s.
