The caulk is supposed to be on the chamfered edge, not in the throat. This would fail most inspections in Michigan and absolutely fail the first rain on a horizontal surface.

I was waiting to see if you would seal it. Very good. I seen caulking so bad these people should never ever ever never pick up a caulking gun. Not sealed properly it will leak, pull out, some caulking is very expensive you waste time and prove you should have paid me.

After he wiped it down and spread it out there is literally 1/16" of sealant on top of that foam filler. That wouldn't last one summer in Texas heat!

What caulk is this. Have to fill the same size exteriror gap, wood to brick.

Would a clerk of works pass this? Seems overkill using that bit of sponge, just spreads it where it's not really meant to be.
