Hope = Jesus the light of the world! Picking up on a point from this sermon we DO have feet on solid ground in the name of Jesus, and this Hope should be broadcasted out ward to people who have little hope, in these times we have a great opportunity for churches to reach out and bring hope to more people. By changing gear Churches could do this, by looking at how God/Jesus is moving and changing, it's our responsibility as Christians to change how we move too. Designing a church for people who already go to a church is "comfortable" but I feel churches should not be comfortable and maybe designing Churches for people who don't know this solid ground. Hope = Jesus full stop. Also just to say I don't agree that hope is on the decline, I feel it's just held back by church politics, and old fashioned ways. Dose God stand still? Did Jesus stand still? Dose the holly spirit stand still? I think not or we would be in trouble.

I got a little confused was you speaking of the coming King The babe of Bethlehem or the coming King the return of Christ at the second coming.

Just a couple of small errors; clearly you meant 1815 to 1818, not 1915 to 1918 for Lyte’s time in County Wexford - and 1847 rather than 1947 for the year he died at 54. (Easy to misspeak; you had just been relating other 20th century dates.) Then, all is perfect. Thanks again.

You mention a few times that the events occurred in the 1900s but you are off by a hundred years as Henry Francis Lyte died in 1847. Thanks for posting the video, the hymn is now my very favorite!
