That's a huge lens, with such a narrow depth of field... Must've been a challenge to get those shots!

I think the lens being handmade is expensive! Maybe not Leica expensive, but a cost that needs a a pause! The effect is easy, use a 50mm lens, older the better, add a Tele-X-tender 2x! Use wide apertures f2 or f1.4. I use an old 50mm F1.4 Nikkor with severe internal haze! Stopped down it is still sharp! Wide apertures! Enjoy! Very nice images! Bravo.

A quaint method but for me, the moments ruined. Sorry. I recently had an eye op. A good reason to see and capture sharp. Not ultra freaking over sharp! Not that or this!.

There may well be a better artist with a camera but I haven't seen them yet.

I love the effect you are getting with these old lines. They suit your style of photography. Pull you in to the presence of the momoment more effectively than newer more clinical glass.
