Don’t examine anything while catching an Unown. I checked the Pokédex after and Unown D wasn’t there. I closed my software ASAP after this so as not to risk it autosaving. I don’t know if it would’ve respawned, but I didn’t want to risk it to find out.

You have no idea how grateful I am for this video. Every single shine was as stupid easy as you claimed and scored the shine first try after watching this. No idea why the physics of this game are so janked but that level is bugged for the way it forces you right with invisible walls. Thank you

Unless you enter the stage with a rocket nozzle, then it stays borderline unwinnable because of the bottom right pocket. It remains one of the worst levels Nintendo has ever done

I like the fact that in some of those cases you can hear Truck-kun's horn, suggesting that it did see the pedestrian in advance, but no attempt to brake is made.
I am so confused, when he says "b" does he mean "a"? does this work for the gamecube version? because it's not working for me...
@@emilydaley5575 I’m not sure what part of the video you’re referring to with “b” and “a”. The testing was all done in the remaster, but I would assume the code is fairly identical to the original and it would still work there, but I don’t have a GameCube to check.
@@andreworders7305 ”if you walk into the launcher, then press ‘B’ and let go of the stick, you will be launched…” at 0:57. “if you walk into the launcher and press ‘B’ and then immediately push the stick to the right…” at 1:22. “B” when standing is mario’s grab function. “B” when jumping or moving the stick is his dive function. So, if I go into the launcher and “press B”, I do nothing. If I press “A” to activate the launch, then “B” I dive. If I move the stick and press “B”, I also dive. Nonetheless, I was able to beat it using this strategy, swapping “B” for “A”. Just took a bit to figure out past the initial confusion, thanks.

Man, I feel so stupid. I've made my own technique without seeing the video before but I kept dying on the same spot trying to reach the top right coin. ALL OF THIS WAS BECAUSE I DIDN'T THINK OF BRINGING THE HOVER NOZZLE 😭. I didn't think of bringing the hover nozzle because I always entered the level with the rocket nozzle and I thought that was the only way of entering the level. Thank you for this tutorial and making me feel dumb because I spent 3 hours of my life trying to figure out how to beat this freaking level lmfao.

@@andreworders7305 Sunshine feels like an incomplete game to me. Still a good game but needed at least 6 additional months of development. Galaxy took twice as much time to develop and it's a far more complete and satisfying game.

2:28 -- I had no idea you could run up that slope! That makes my life so much easier. 4:07 -- I don't like the lily pad course with the deadly water, either, but I kept trying and eventually beat it! All in all, thanks for the strategy! I was already familiar with most of these tips, but some were new to me.
My favorite part of Lily Pad Ride is when you fail and it puts a pipe there as a trap that doesn’t take you back to the beginning, or even where you entered the level, but all the way back to the square. 🤬 I’m so happy I never have to beat that level again.

This level is nowhere near as bad once you learn the strategy, I think it became infamous because it's easy to get into it. Now if we're talking about true bs then that's the Lily Pad Ride, a level which is hard just to reach: you have to give Yoshi the fruit he wants then you have to tediously wait for each boat and jump onto it praying not to fall into the water because Yoshi dies, once you reach the level, you're welcomed with a collect 6 red coins challenge while on a hard to control lily pad that rots away if you take too long, and if that wasn't enough the water insta kills Mario, oh and did I mention that if you reach the end there's a pipe that takes you back to Delfino Plaza meaning you have to reoeat the whole process?
Yeah, I also don't like the secret lily pad course. However, you can do a double jump followed by a flutter to reach an underground passage and skip the first boat (near the section with the Pinna Park cannon). Thus, you only have to ride two boats instead of three! It's still tricky, though, so be careful.
