This channel is run by Melissa from Designs by Little Bee (www.designsbylittlebee.com). I will be uploading some tutorials on how to digitize some of my favorite things.
How to import clip art into Embrilliance StitchArtist
It's now 2024 and I offer a full video course on digitizing!

To see what I create (and sell) using my software, you can visit my shop at www.designsbylittlebee.com.
Grab Stitch Artist (or any Embrilliance software) here: embrilliance.com/store?aff=120689

In this third installation of my StitchArtist tutorial series, I'm going over how to bring your new piece of clip art (that you found using my first tutorial on choosing clip art here) into StitchArtist and start tracing around the art to begin your project. You'll be using the skills you learned in the second video - changing the function of your nodes from curve to cusp to line, to best match the outline of your clip art.

How to choose clip art for your digitizing projects.

It's now 2024 and I offer a full video course on digitizing! www.designsbylittlebee.com/shop/craft-embroidery-supply/beginning-digitizing-with-designs-by-little-bee/ I have seen lots of comments in embroidery groups that people are afraid to begin digitizing because they don't know where to get clip art and they're afraid of "copying" the wrong thing. Finding clip art is fun and easy - and addi...
Thank you for this video I am a newbie and mostly learn by hands on.
I wish you had finished your tutorials 😰
I’m here in 2024!
This Information is still relevant 8 years later. I wonder if you could do an updated version of this video since there are so many more resources now. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Can you just stitch the underlay only? Am stitching on a patch and it can’t Handel all the stitches it pulls the patch
Very informative. Thank you
Even tho this is an older tutorial, I found it to be an excellent explanation of SA2!
For some reason my embrillance is missing a lot of the tools. Like image and create what can I do?
Is StitchArtist installed on that computer? You should always have your "Create" button near the top right of tools.
Just started with this stuff and really like the way you explain and sshoow the buttons and tool tips on the screen. I am subbed and looking forward to more of your tutorials. THANKS!!!!
Can you drop in an image that has already been digitized into an image your working on in stitch art?
Hi there! Love the simplicity of yip tutorials but am wondering where all the other videos are! I only see 3 listed and am subscribed. Would love to see the rest and more! Thanks!
Is this stitch artist 1 or 2
importing clip art is a basic function available in all levels
Great series, is it continued on your new channel or anywhere else?

I’m so glad she said that she use to hoard designs. Because I’m new to machine embroidery and I’m in that stage. I felt so horrible until now. Thanks.
Your video was spot on. Thank you so much for sharing
I’m still having such a hard time
How did you get the option to choose a photo. I have stitch artist and don’t see an image or vector button
The button is right at the top where I show in the video. You must be clicked on the "Create" button to see it.
thank you soooooo much
Can you do this in Stitch artist Level 1?
Yes, you can import clip art into any level.
@@stitchinghoney got it. Thank you.
My problem is not following the steps. I have issues with it stitching out wrong. Looks good during a stitch simulator but then it actually stitches out terrible. Help!
That will be a function of the properties of each stitch type.. How long are your running stitches? How wide is your satin stitch? Did you use correct underlay? etc.
Can you show how to “trace” import a letter from an silhouette design or I guess a png file? I’m so new at this? I did a design in silhouette studio and I want to copy the letters I used. For the life of me, I can remember the tt I used!
You just need to apply nodes to outline the letters just like you would any other object. It's helpful to remember the TTF, BUT the automatic tool to apply nodes to TTF letters gives you waaay too many nodes so it's best to just outline them yourself, in my opinion.
Whoʻs here watching in 2021? Thank you for this video! This has helped me a lot as a new Embrilliance user! :)
I'm in 2024!
Did anyone else have to jump up and check on their dogs during this video? 😂
Sure wish you would do more videos'!!!!
Which version of stitch artist do you use?
I have Level 3 but I think all the features I use are in Level 2
I've only been using my Stitch Artist 2 for a couple of hours and your videos are extremely helpful. I'm already putting some of my designs into the program and created the stitch out files. Thank you so very much. Sew In Common - Diana
Great news!! Happy to hear. Wish I had more time to make more!
@@stitchinghoney You really should. You understand what it is machine embroiders need to know. I've been a machine embroider for six years and I customize for myself and others quite a lot so I understand how things are built, but I've recently decided to learn digitizing and your video was fantastic. I've since made several projects and am digitizing my physical applique line into ME files. I've seen your Etsy page before and was glad to see you doing this video. Take care. Diana-
Please please please do more tutorials 🙏
What level is this?
Will be watching.
Hi so to add a image I have to buy level two
Hi if i get level 1 can i do what level 2 can do
You explain these steps in ways I can really understand and USE! Thank YOU!
Thank you for your help. Its a bit overwhelming but I found a good deal of help from your tutorials. Subscribed.
Why is your dog crying in the background? Sounds in pain ☹️
What format is your clip art in?
What format does the clip art have to be in to be used in Embrilliance, please?
I use JPG but there are other formats you can use. Definitely check their site for details on the appropriate formats!
So incredibly helpful!! thank you!!
Thank you! I just could not find the image and knew there was a way but could not remember it! Glad I am not the only one who forgets!
Interesting last name!! :-)
@@DesignsByLittleBee Yes, like one of the presidential candidates for the Democrats.
This is really a GREAT tutorial!!! Thank you for doing!! Please Please do more!!! hugs :)
is there any free app or software for embroidery design?
Hey girl! Im ready to jump into Stitch artist, do you have a coupon code?
I do not. They regularly give coupon codes via their email list, though.
Thank you. Do you think stitch artist 1 will be enough to do simple felties or snap tabs? Im concerned about the out- line? @@DesignsByLittleBee
@@ChelVegas yes Level 1 does those functions for sure
Can you tag me with where the next video is after this one?
Can you convert any logo on pes format?
Are you using stitch artist level 1 or 2
Hi there are you using stitch artist 1 or 2.?
Nice! So how do u go about designing a key fob?
thanks for the tutorial!! I'm following your tutorials and thinking for getting stitch artist. I have the essentials for now and still thinking of having the freedom to digitize the images I want
Hi Melissa - thank you for all your valuable information! I've got a question for you being a newbie in stitch artist 1...is there a way to add an outline in a word design in stitch artist level one, or is this a feature only available in level 3? I've been admiring the outline in your designs and wanted to fiddle with it, but unless I draw my own outline step by step it never comes out exact which isn't very professional looking. If you know a better way please let me know - I'd greatly appreciate it! Thank you beforehand 👍 looking forward to your next video!
I BELIEVE that's in level 3, it's called "logical AND" ?? Sorry, I never use that as I manually add outlines. :-) Join the Facebook group "StitchArtist Digitizing Fans" and ask for clarity! Thanks for watching!
DesignsByLittleBee thank you so much..will do! Keep doing what you're doing. You're a great teacher and I learn a lot from you!
thank you for your tutorials, they are excellent, very clear and precise.
