I met Gary once with a friend of mine who played at cal. Had the privilege of watching two of his matches. Did something special every time he touched the ball. Underrated tackler. He put the hit on a few guys. Dominant player
I used to know this dude. He's as solid as they come. I hope he rubbed off on the Bay Area more than it rubbed off on him.
I worked with Alan for many years. He was my friend. I am saddened by his passing. He lived a FULL life....enjoying to the fullest...which is more than many can say, including me. I wasn't a big beer drinker but back in the day in Austin, I'd go with him and our mutual friend Susan and drink a picture or two ..,foosball too :)
