    Hi Nick - thanks for this video! I am on the cusp of applying to the MACP program. I am curious if you could expand a bit about the nature of the group work. I am suprised there is so much group work since the program is online and mostly asynchronous. Are we talking about group presentations or other projects? Thanks for any info... my undergrad had virtually no group work so I don't know what to expect and would like to be prepared.

    • @nick_tag23
      @nick_tag23 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, thanks for watching! Yes, so last I heard, Yorkville was trying to integrate more group work into the program in order to build on collaboration skills and teamwork. Although the program is asynchronous for the most part, they expect you to meet up with your group to work on the projects. So far I have had group powerpoints, brochures, and counselling sessions (like how you have to practice with your triad for tests). I would not sweat this aspect of the program - I have made some really close friends this way :)

    • @nick_tag23
      @nick_tag23 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello Arshdeep! I think for me personally, I made the right decision because of my current career goals and life circumstances. It's totally normal to feel nervous because you are about to embark on a new adventure (and financially it's a huge commitment). I think it is also important to self-reflect prior to and during the program. If you can see yourself wanting to be a therapist in the future and you like flexibility in terms of learning (for the most part), then this program is for you. If you prefer face-to-face interaction, then maybe Western University's counselling program may be a better fit. It is also good to remember that you could also use this masters as a stepping stone to other career goals. I know people who have done PhDs with it although it is rare because this program has no thesis. I wish you all the best on your future endeavors!

    Damn while watching you i was smiling because you look so sweet and cute and i wanted to leave a comment here for you ♡♡♡ . I saw Maurice in the very beginning of 2024 . To be honest I can't move on from the sadness that Maurice gave it to me ... And i was asking if i can be mad at clive durham or blaming him for being such a coward . i guess sometimes when we end up feeling scared we are trying to escape , and there is completely no love if the person you are with is scared of continuing what they have started . He saw how his friend lord risley lost everything he had and he was too scared to risk his everything for the sake of love , for another man . To be honest clive made me rethink about some stuff when i put myself into his place and asking myself ...was i going to do opposite of what he have done ? and to be honest maybe i am like him too! maybe i can't do it , maybe love is just not enough to me to risk everything for it . Sadly he made me so sure of that . And I was really touched by Maurice hall , Somehow He knew that loneliness was poisoning him, so that he grew viler as well as more unhappy ... And I don't believe that he was happy with Alec scudder , he loved clive durham too much ... he only wanted to be loved completely and truly , and he found himself loved by Alec but i TRULY BELIEVE that he wanted that love from clive not Alec...

      Thank you so much for your kind words, you really made my day :) Lately, I have been rewatching the film in order to overcome a wave of numbness that engulfed me. I went through something recently where I was Maurice and let me tell you - that man is so brave and handled the situation with Clive so well. When I think of what Clive did, not only did he directly hurt Maurice (the man who would have given him the world), but he was also doing his wife a huge disservice. Imagine unknowingly being in a lavender marriage and one day finding out that the man you loved and had children with - actually didn't feel the same about you. I would feel like I never got to experience true unconditional love. It was just a love for convenience's sake. In terms of Maurice's love for Clive, in the book, he says "You do care a little for me, I know...but nothing to speak of, and you don't love me. I was yours once till death if you'd cared to keep me, but I'm someone else's now...and he's mine in a way that shocks you". This makes me believe that throughout the years Maurice went through the stages of grief and although you never truly forget someone, he eventually moved on. In doing so he found someone who appreciates his love in ways he never could have imagined. Anyways to sum this all up, everyone deserves unconditional love, and I hope one day that you find your person :)

      Hello, you can buy textbooks from the school bookstore (online), or second-hand (there is a facebook group where students sell their textbooks). You can find them online, but I can't share them as Yorkville sees it as misconduct. And yes, the textbook cost is separate from tuition. Hope that helps!
