Adult Swim and Toonami, Cartoon Network and Fox Box/4Kids alas.... Loved many shows but once they started shoving male audience anime and having it dominate the line up with few geared towards us ladies I walked away. Originals like Shaman King in the original adaptation was and still is like Rurouni Kenshin amd others geared towards not just male audience was amazing and what the 90's kids like myself grew up with and loved watching....that is till Netflix and others readapted and ruined it and changed the voice overs that didn't fit nor work with the character and was total turn off destroying a once loved anime. There were other Anime a diamond in the rough so to speak that didn't get a chanceand were truly loved by many , but never got the chance to have the seasons or all episodes air on Adult Swim, Toonami or Fox Box like The Laws of Ueki, Soul Hunter, Ruroni Kenshin, KIBA, Rave Master, Escaflowne, Blue Seed, Record Lodus Wars, Nightwalker: The Midnight Detective, Yohko Mono Devil Hunter, Fushigi Yuggi, Haruka Beyond Streams of Time, Hirro no Kakera, Hanasakeru Seishounen, Shugo Chara, Karen Chibi Vampire, Saiunkoku Monogatari, Ray Earth, The Third: The Girl with the Blue Eye, Winx Club and I mean the original series, while British Tv kept true and didn't cut the epsiodes down and showed it all the way through. Like many other Anime geared towards female audiences this was cut down and mucj from epsiodes missing just so the male dominated animes were given more platform. And yet these were also was ol' school but they either only showed an epsiode or few then left us hanging and so you had to find the Anime in DVD later to watch these amazing ol' school Anime the entire series were shortend or a few episodes played, but they were never as a diamond in the rough given a fair shake, and unfortunately much was being pushed in belief it was better at the time to gear towards male audiences and then a male and female audience as they did not get the big picture that females were also as well as much a big audience for watching anime mornings, days and nights. And unfortunately the broadcast didn't pay attention and pick up on that so they lost much of the audience once they reduced Anime that was geared for male and female audiences as they were not giving a fair chance to push Anime for female audiences as much as they were investing in the male audience and is part of the downfall.

Bro I'm fucking telling you that the 90s-early 2000s had everything creative wise and story wise figured out, it was constantly seeing if they could reach the top and pushing the boundaries until I guess it did and everything went stale, which js why shows suck SO bad now. This was the period of creative influence that can't be replicated. New ideas and new technology

I’m grateful to have watched Toonami for nine years straight, from 2003-2009, it was great making memories and watching allots of anime. To this day I still watch anime, though I gotta give thanks to Toonami for making the scene and the fans for making the scene blow up in America! Thanks Toonami for all the memories 🥲

In my country DBZ, Cardcaptors, Max Steel, Sinbad, Batman of the Future were the first shows that aired on Toonami. We had Powerzone Midnight run instead of Toonami Midnight run.

After 2009, a lot of these shows look more like Adult Swim shows to me. I'm still trying to figure out how Hamtaro ended up on Toonami. It doesn't really fit to me.
