Who is your pick in the Pegasus World Cup? Can Locked assert himself in the upper echelon in 2025? Will White Abarrio or Mystik Dan recapture their former magic? Let us know in the comments.
Late pic 4 values: Drexel Hill troubled trip now gets different jockey and blinkers. In 10th Money supply is 20-1, gets Detroit, his last 2 are throw outs, was completely overmatched. Respect connections. Lacomte: maximum promise liked dirt, and although dam side turf, well bred and long winded. Admiral Denis 8/1 why? Stumbled in last and bet down every time. Golden Afternoon is well bred and has plenty of dirt pedigree, grand dam won over million. Seattle road 400k purchase, grand dam won over million, under play
We have the exact same two picks in a couple of races. Let’s go Skinner/Track Phantom in the Louisiana. Also high on Bear River.
Would really like your opinion on the turf horse running in the Lecomte???
There is not much dirt pedigree to speak of, but the horse is clearly talented. We see this sometimes early in the Derby Prep season where a turf or synth horse will try the Derby Trail to see if they could do the surface switch. I do love that he can handle two turns, but could face much more early speed than he's accustomed to tracking.
@@NYRABets I think Golden Afternoon can be primed to upset the AppleCart. Sire is not my favorite but the Dam side breeding very good. Grand Dam Acoma very well bred and won over a million dollars. Jockey trainer concern and maybe asking a lot of this horse but one to be considered.
Optical had a brutal 2YO campaigned. His time between starts must have been physically demanding. On two separate occasions (Sep/Nov) he made 2 starts in the same month. After he DNF in the Breeders Futurity at Keeneland. He was not given a full month off. From DNF in an October race to 2 starts over 8F in November yielding a 3rd and 1st. The period between his final 2YO start (11/24) and the pending Lecomte will be 55 days. This will be the longest period between his previous 5 starts that averaged 16 days. He recorded a bullet work (59.90) for 5F at the Fairgrounds that was listed as 1/25. This a well-bred colt that has a lot of foundation earned the hard way. His 55day between starts could be a major positive and could allow him to run exceed his positive performances recorded off in races contested on average 16 days between starts.

55 days off could be a plus or maybe not the horse I liked in the race got scratched 3H

Matt, I have nothing but maximum respect for your knowledge and Wits. This is why I am shocked that you ranked Barnes at #1. This utter madness! What ha the colt done to supersede all others? Citizen Bull -2 Equibase figures over 100 (Won around 2Turns) Journalism -2 Equibase figures over 100 (Won around 2Turns) Patch Adams -Equibase figures over 100 (Longest distance - 7F - 1:20.77) East Avenue -Highest Equibase figures 99 (Won around 2Turns) Barnes Undefeated -Highest Equibase figures 99 (Longest distance - 7F - 1:22.15) Disco Time Undefeated Highest Equibase figures 96 (Longest distance - 8F; 1Turn- 1:34.98; 7F split 1:22.18) Noteworthy: Barnes was fully extended to defeat innovator who had lost his previously 3MSw races Barnes best opponent in the San Vicente was fellow last out MSW Given the above. You must realize how short you are selling yourself to your fans. You are required to be objective and present verifiable fact and figures to support your rankings. Event your projections are required to be objective. The cold facts above do not support raking Barnes #1. If you are so in love and possess such a high regard with Bob Baffert. Just do a BB top 5 list. NYRA made a mistake in hiring you. NYRA supporters want fair and balance analysis. This you have failed to deliver in this respect. You predicted a Revenge Tour upon BB's return. Who never specified whom his revenge would be exacted on? He took responsibility for the findings relating the deceased o Medina Spirit and consequently there is no need for revenge., This just reflect how nonsensical you claim of a Revenge Tour was. BB had the post time favorite for the KD 9 times. Do you know how many won? He has won 6 KD. Are you aware that his average win margin a little over 1L if War Emblem a colt he never developed is included. its less than a length without him. The Enhancer King hasn't been blowing away the competition in the KD

Thank you both for sharing. Tiztastic is my horse and I see he's consistently working out but never seem to be entered. May add Romanesque after hearing your praise.

When are you going LIVE in NJ? This is ridiculous. Fandool sucks and I hate TVG. You need to go on air and compete with these TOOLS. As for Baffert, the guy is a cheating, crook so I am not sure why you care what he runs out on the track. The guy should be out of racing.

My Take Poster likely to romp in the Remsen - Foaling Date - May 20th Debut - Oct 19th - 3 months after turning fully 2. Debut -Track/Distance/Surface - Elis; 8F; Turf - won by 1 .3/4L in 1:35.17 2nd Start -Track/Distance/Surface - Keeneland; 8F; Turf - won by 3L in 1:35.35 When late May foal wins its debut over 8F on turf whilst leading out of gates in 22 seconds plus for the first 2F, then relaxing for its rider and goes on to quicken aways from opponents in the stretch whilst shielding away from tire mark and still record a time of 1:35.17. Such a 2YO has to be considered exceptionally smart, talented and way above average. His Equibase figure was a ridiculous 73. In his Keeneland start against winner he was first out of the gates and sat 3rd. He found room in the stretch and was very straight and strong to the line. His Equibase figure jumped 21 points to 93 despite winning in a marginally slower time (1:35.35) From a stride mechanics perspective. Whilst this colt is in full stride, he is balanced and displays no wasted motion. His stride turnover rate contributes to his ability to separate late from opponent whilst showing no signs of fatigue. From a pedigree perspective. His sire Munnings seems to have provide the speed he has shown twice from the gates. His late race strength suggests stamina from his Tapit dam. The Godolphin GM reported the only reason the colt made his two starts on turf was due to the 8F distance not being available on dirt, when he was ready to race. It's not because of an affinity for surface. I am no expert but if this colt is better on dirt or can replicated his turf performance on dirt. He might very well be Godolphin's best colt given his foaling date of May 20th. If he can record times of 1:35 plus albeit on turf, 3 months after fully two. How much stronger and faster will he become over the next 6 months. But then, so many of these 2YOs flatter to deceive. Consequently, my assessment that he is likely to romp in the Remsen could be way off...

How much stronger and faster will he become over the next 6 months. But then, so many of these 2YOs flatter to deceive. Consequently, my assessment that he is likely to romp in the Remsen could be way off.

Who is your pick in Saturday's Remsen Stakes? Are you singling Keewaydin or are you going to try and beat the Chad Brown favorite? Let us know in the comments.
Agree with what u said about horses coming out of b.cup races but one comes out of sprint one out of mile and the one to play comes out of classic. No full Serrano my single in b.cup mile pk6. Been telling u 4 a while senor buscator loves cold weather. Dec. 7th perfect. No reason to wait no more. So shout out to yr dad. Enjoy. Senor buscator with law professor n locked in exactas. And one d.d. with Reynolds channel. Anyone liking bookem danno has to love Reynolds channel in next race. Let me be the 1st to say looking 4ward to Lukas horse just steel coming back I hear. Thks.
Great analysis as always Matthew. I'm with you on a lot of the favorites in here. Book'em Danno is likely my top choice in here. None of the favorites have an exceptional pattern, but Danno has a healthy, fit 3YO should be capable of running back to his best in here. I'm more tepid on Locked than most, I usually like to bet against horses who run a new best off a long layoff.
Who you do like in the Cigar Mile? Are you going to be playing Mullikin, Senor Buscador, or Post Time coming out of the Breeders' Cup, or looking elsewhere? Let us know in the comments.
