Hey, I went with my family so they took pics for me. But if you're traveling solo and want to snap some pics at Shibuya Sky or in Tokyo in general, try using a selfie stick or tripod. You could also ask a friendly passerby to take your photo, visitors or locals in Tokyo are usually “good photographers”. Just some ideas to help you get those awesome solo shots!

Hi Alexis ~ It was a bit crowded during the first few stops, and finding a seat was a challenge. However, as the train moved further away from the city, especially in more rural areas, it got less crowded. We managed to find seats for the last 45 minutes of our journey to Kamakura. But yeah, I'd definitely recommend heading out earlier to make the most of the daytime for travelling and exploring Kamakura. 😉

Hey there! When it comes to measuring coffee beans, I usually go for 18 grams using a kitchen scale. If your scale doesn't show zero when it's turned on, just press the ON/OFF button to reset it. As for the milk, I eyeball it to about one-third of the total cup size, but it depends on your preference for milkiness. It's all about finding that perfect balance that suits your taste buds. I'd suggest the same, it would result in a better extraction. However, I find it takes quite some more time for Brikka to brew compared to my Moka Express 3/4. It also produces more bitterness compared to other brewers when coffee is ground similarly fine. It could be because I need to deep clean the Moka again (specifically the silicone valve), but typically I find it performs better with coarser grinds. If it's not bitter upfront and the "crema" stays a bit after the pour, I'd say the grind is fine. Here is where you experiment to your taste.

@@JamiesDiary You're welcome and yeah,... a well extracted coffee (even if lower grade) can taste a lot better than if you just throw things together and make coffee. Espresso based drinks are a science of their own. And if you're going to get an automatic grinder, I suggest you watch a video here, to get a broad understanding of what is possible: th-cam.com/video/bgjvLQu5NlE/w-d-xo.html I'm a beginner myself, I work part-time as a barista and I confess that homemade espresso is something else. A field where you not only need all the knowledge and skills possible to get a nice drink, but it's also where you improvise and experiment the most.
