I'm not accepting your premise. Water just sitting on the top of the puck will not do anything except swell the top few millimeters. That will not affect the shot appreciably. You've got to demonstrate that your method actually does anything by a/b comparisons of the puck at various times in yoru method.

KKR S10 is not shallower than the original 30HG spool. KKR S10 inner diameter is 20.35mm 30HG inner diameter is 23.50mm but KKR S10 spool is lighter (6.6gr) due to air spool (short shaft) while 30HG spool is about 14gr.

I just purchased a blind shaker... It's made a huge difference.
