The Dangers of 'Healthy Eating' in Eating Disorder Recovery
For many of us, the idea of eating healthy can seem like a really positive thing. For some, food is 'just' fuel. BUT, for humans, food is so much more important that that - Food is connection, memories and mental wellbeing. With any history of disordered eating 'healthy eating' can easily slip into yet another form of restrictive eating and way of keeping your eating disorder Alive. In this video, I discuss how to be aware of the darker side of eating healthy while sharing some of my own experiences of recovering from orthorexia and anorexia.
