Managed to get a pretty clean lap in, with no traffic meaning I managed to get into the 1'18s; happy with that! R400 'spec': Rover K with 200hp, 6 speed, 3.92 Tracsport LSD, staggered R888Rs, 2003 Imperial chassis.

@@BiggsRacing2102 Ah thanks! I'm on R888Rs. Always wondered if I'd be quicker on ZZRs but never took the plunge. I guess now we'll never know!
@@rhuari a new set of ZZR’s feels incredible, I remember a year and a half ago we got some and first track day I set a 2 min 33 seconds round Bedford autodrome GT. I’m sure with a fully up to speed driver, a 2.29 would have been possible. You can still get some used ones which is what we have been doing. Hopefully the company will return as nova and get back to producing the tyres
@@BiggsRacing2102 We can only hope! I understand Nova are having to meet new EU rolling road requirements, which may or may not affect the compound; time will tell. Looking at your channel your doing some seriously quick lap times!
@@rhuari well I’m not totally sure how quick they are cause there aren’t that many casual track day drivers that post their laps, I’d like to think I’m quick but really I’m only an amateur, this is the only real racing type stuff I have done and I am still learning.

That pulled so strongly in each gear, amazing for a Rover engine. Nice driving, not silly but smooth, at 3.10 i imagine a lot of 💩 shot out! 😮 😂
Thanks! Hehe, I carried a bit too much speed into the corner but was happy I kept it in between the lines! 😄 Quite a few Rover K's doing approx 200hp in Caterhams; great engine ahead of its time that's for sure!
Nice. How to drive these things any advice? R400 rbtb arriving soon. Particularly worried about spinning under braking & corner exit. Coming from trackdays in an rs6 with all its electronic aids, I know, extremes 🤣
Sorry only replying now - has your R400 arrived yet? How you finding it? Smooth and committed inputs on steering, brakes and throttle is the best way. Start of easy and build up from there, you'll start to find the cars limits in good time :)
@@rhuari TY! Yes that's good advice. Had one visit to the tyre barriers 🙈 on a damp cold November day at Snetterton in my defense, it was too late in the year, too late in the day ...& too late into the corner ! It was probably a valuable lesson early on to build up slowly like you say. Other than that I'm loving it & learning a lot but still so much more to come from the car if I can get comfortable nearer the limit.
