Welcome to the Album Leaf piano channel!
🐱 I'm a Japanese classical pianist making tutorial-style piano videos of (mostly) classical music.
🎹 I have over 20 years' experience as a piano teacher with a degree in piano performance, and now studying towards a masters in music therapy.
🎹 I started this channel with the aim of introducing students and teachers to underrated and/or rare piano music for beginners to intermediate pianists!

Amateur question, but why are both hands written in treble cleff?
Thanks for the question! I think it depends on the composer and the piece but in this case I would say it's because Bartok needed to use both hands in the same register to create an effect with the interval of seconds and the LH notes never go very low. Most of the pieces in the Mikrokosmos use both treble and bass clefs so this is a special feature of this piece. Hope this helps and thank you for watching! 🎹🌷
