Older bee's outside the hive can barely move they are so hungry. I fed them with a mixture of sugar and water. Things I learned today about bee's and things I still don't know: 1. Bee's have extremely strong grip. While trying to take one bee off a piece of wood I could feel it's strength holding onto the wood. 2. Abdominal thrusting??? Maybe trying to rid poison from the body? 3. Super relaxed...

I was pelted by a stick taking this video so I hope you enjoy it. Was very scary I could barely hold the door open to take the video. I started taking cover just inside the door with my arm out because I was scared something large was going to hit me.

I experienced a derecho about 10 years ago. It was a bad experience mainly due to losing power for 3 days during a heat wave. 3 days is short compared to my friend who had to wait a week and others over a week. I felt awful tossing out all the spoiled food.

Climate disruption, nature and biodiversity loss, and pollution and waste are the main areas of concern regarding the current state of the environment. This year, the Earth Day’s theme is “Invest In Our Planet,” so what would humanity's best investment for the planet be? We need to start by cleaning up the planet. There is no place on Earth where the air and water are clean, and that's a real problem. In theory, tackling this issue should be our priority when it comes to taking action to improve the dismal state of our planet. But let’s not fool ourselves. Such a plan alone will solve nothing. It will only help the international organizations to justify their own existence. They tick off "done" to raise as much money as they want, and that's it. If we do not improve relations between us, we will not be able to achieve the great and ambitious improvement in nature that we want and need to attain globally. We will never achieve a good result through bureaucratic, mechanical measures. There are a lot of people sitting in their comfortable offices profiting from the environmental crisis and demanding money and respect. They keep flying from one end of the world to the other on all kinds of missions to make a lot of noise with what they are "doing" and which everyone "needs to hear" as if that alone means something is happening, but in practice we see no real progress. The Earth must also be cleansed of them, of these people who engage in useless campaigns that only cause harm because they mislead the world, leading it away from the real solution. The cleaning of the planet should start inside out. If we do not clean the planet from within, and continue with our reckless behavior and the selfish nature of our hearts as before, nothing will change for the better. The immense sums invested in environmental initiatives should be directed to spreading an educational process aimed at improving the way we relate to each other. Humans are the most developed and influential factors of all of nature's levels: still, vegetative, animate and human. Since we occupy the highest level in nature, positively affecting the environment, the climate, and nature in general can be achieved by reaching positive relations among us. On the contrary, by letting our divisive drives tear apart human relations, we also destroy our surrounding environment, the very nature that our lives depend on. The more we humans are able to correct ourselves by changing our divisive attitudes toward each other into positive attitudes of mutual support, encouragement, mutual responsibility, and reciprocal concern, the more we will receive positive feedback from nature. And the more we develop without making this necessary correction, the more negative feedback we will receive from nature, as we have experienced in the form of natural disasters, pandemics. It is of utmost importance for us to organize our thoughts, desires and qualities so that we understand that saving the environment and a shift to a better future depend solely on changing our attitudes to each other: from antagonistic egoism to positive, compassionate and cooperative relationships..

Looked like a rainwrapped tornado at the beginning.
That's Pretty Scary I hope no one was out Beside the Transformer when it hugely looked like a firework after it went and could be heard a long way but a Miricle that the rain put out the sparks. However did hear a ton of Damaged trees and some of that power in some areas took time or perhaps a few days to restore

Can't tell if brave or dumb. Both I guess lol. I wish I recorded something myself... but my hearing's sensitive so I staked out in the basement o; and setting up a camera didn't cross my mind at the time o-o sky had gone completely black... storm didn't last long for us though. Like a couple mins... one end of city lost power, but that was pretty much the worst of it afaik. Nothing my mom had outside was disturbed.. not even a potted plant o: My mom said someone she knew had to go out to balcony to stop her potted plants from going places.. had trouble trying to get the door closed after retrieving them o-o Surprised I haven't seen more footage in this day and age lol. There's a bunch, but not as many as I'd expect given how rare of an event this is, and how crazy it was.
Yeah it was dumb for sure what I was doing. Dangerous. A small twig hit me and it felt like I got pelted by a rock. One thing people watching don't really notice is the tinging sound almost sounds like water hitting the building but it's actually tons and tons of small debris. My phone didn't pick up the sounds and the intensity of it all. Thanks for good comment LadyTarasque.
@@aaahhhchew8028 It looks like you were mostly sheltered by the building as the wind is mostly blowing from behind you - if you were on the opposite side of the building facing into the wind, I don't think you'd be outside filming! That's pretty great video! This was quite the storm - lots of video of it showing up on youtube the last few days. There was another Derecho in South Dakota just a week or 2 before this one in Ontario. That one kicked up so much dust that it went from 5:30pm daylight to pitch black in about 30 seconds as it rolled through! Some pretty amazing video of that one around too

I have been WFH from Toronto the last 2 years but I was covering for one of my colleagues who didn't have power until last friday lol, no wonder why...I was actually travelling to the US the morning of this storm, and only found out about the warning once we got a free wifi from mcdonald lol, glad I closed all my windows in my house before leaving.

All the videos of this derecho there is some definite rotation inside it, you can see little vortexes swirling and the look of the wind and rain coming from two different directions with leaves going round and round
Yes a Funnel Cloud and may be weak but not small to make a larger Area of Vortexes'. Good to you notice this and you must be in to Meteorology for sure? If this was a Severe thunderstorm with out the Derecho effect it could have become a F3 Tornado Possible with out the Derecho Counteracting the development.

Thanks man. I couldn't really believe what I was seeing at first. And yes that is the scariest storm I have seen as well. The video doesn't really do it justice. Whatever it was went directly over our building. The leaves were flying so fast they actually stuck to my clothing like paint. And I got hit with a small twig that felt like I got hit by a rock.

The first explosion took out the power and then the power tried to come back on and then a stronger explosion took the power out for good
That's not a "transformer explosion" - just a tree branch falling on the line. A device called a "recloser" will detect the fault and open the line (shut the power off). Then after a short delay it will "close back in" the line again to test if the fault still exists, which was the bigger second arc. If there's still a fault, then it locks out and someone has to come fix it. Some faults will clear themselves (like a very small tree branch that after it falls isn't touching the line anymore, or mylar party balloons on the line which will be obliterated after the first fault) - the re-closer gets the power back on automatically in those cases without the linesmen coming to investigate and finding no continuing issue, and people being without power until they show up. In this case, they clearly have to come cut the branch away as it's still touching the line on the retry.

That sounds right. Lots of speculation. Some say tornado, some say hurricane and some say just really bad storm. I like your word derecho though. I googled it and it looks legit.

Indeed it was. We had the same event hit in Quebec, hands down the most violent storm I've ever experienced.
Tbh This look way more than just a thunderstorm 😱 look like a hurricane I'm from Hamilton live in Hamilton Ontario. We're i live I didn't get any damaging near me where I live but I saw downtown Hamilton tree that fell in front of apartment buildings. It just feel like more like a hurricane cuz the way the winds were
Yes I completely agree. I think it was hurricane levels for sure. I have lived in ottawa my entire life and have never seen anything like it.
a derecho is a strong group of thunderstorms that often forms bow echoes meaning it can put down very heavy rain and straight line winds, something you'd see from a hurricane

It's hurricane season in US that could explain why. We got hafe of there storm.
@@lamargoat2.054 Yeah that sounds super legit man. All I know is I have lived here in Ottawa 36 years and I have never seen anything like this. Even a few years back when we had a storm and lost power it wasn't even close to as bad as this. The ice storm that we had a decade ago was as bad as it got until this. I think when I look back on this it was the howling screams I could hear from the street that gives me the chills.

Perfect! I finally found your video. I saw the same thing tonight. What is even more strange, i saw one last year at the same exact time frame. It will travel so far and look like it puffs out and disappears. Freaken weird isnt it?
Like I said before, I see a similar sphere in Hull a couple times every other month it seems. Sometimes there's more than one. I did notice though that there was some mirror effect due the reflection of lights on the bus stop glass.
Yup. Some mirror effect while trying to film whatever the hell that was. I did get a real nice close up. What the hell do you think that is? No blinking lights on it of any kind. No sound. And look how fast it went from one side of the sky to the other. Crazy.

Hi - you're not the only one who sees this in the sky - I'm not far and have seen these lights too, multiple times. It's not even incredible anymore lol They're often here and playing around in the sky. mostly at night, or at least, that's when I can see them. They're often 2, sometimes 3. They do get really really bright, then fade, sometimes they flicker, get smaller, or bigger. Pretty cool. Thanks for sharing. I can't film from my window and because I'm afraid that by the time I get outside I'd lose sight of them, I don't try. But next time, I'll remember to go outside and film these sillies.
On its own this video Is definitely not clear enough to get you noticed by anyone who may be looking, combined with the other one it is very interesting though. I wonder what it was doing
Yeah for sure exactly! To be honest this video didn't turn out well at all. When I was viewing it you could see three bright orange lights coming off of it clearly. But in the video it just looks like one big light with a bunch of crap around it. Agreed this video didn't turn out at all to what I thought.
I think it was in panic. I have the other vids of it just flying back and forth back and forth and it looked like it was in panic. That's just how I feel. I think I will load the other three vids just to show it going back and forth. And in one of them it does its switching thing from mimicking a plane to a huge white ball. I think I should just load them all for context. But two of them are boring watching it go back and forth in the sky. And the third one is same thing right up to 3 min marker and it explodes into a white ball. What do you think, should I post the other three crappier vids for context?
You can see the forest and whatever those large trucks are with red lights and all kinds of stuff going on. It almost looks like a jet takes off from the ground. But it's a protected forest area......

@@brettmurr4525 I loaded second video for you. You can watch it fly around acting like a plane and then BOOM at 3:30 mark it turns into giant white ball. The only reason I even noticed initially is because I seen it as a giant white ball in the sky moving and ran to grab my camera but the time I got back it was doing its flickering thing. I think the biggest wtf out of the videos is the little UFO that meets with the larger one. How can anyone pass that off as anything other than wtf is that is beyond me. I didn't even notice the lil white orb until 20 seconds after it showed in the video.
@@brettmurr4525 allllsooo I think it's more spooky that it is trying to mimic a plane. When it does its flicker thing it's almost identical to a plane flicker. It even has the red light on it flickering.... That to me has me the most weirded out. How obvious it wasnt a plane but how desperate it was trying to appear as a plane. Something was very wrong I think. When it blows up into an orb I think something is just going very wrong. And I caught it on video!

The other three videos is it just moving back and forth flickering mostly. Only in one video does it transform into the bright white glowing ball like in this one. This just happened yesterday any idea's of what it is? Could you see the smaller orb as well? Super strange because when it is doing its flickering thing it acts like a plane with a red blinking light too. Super weird.
@@aaahhhchew8028 I saw the smaller orb. Couldn't tell you what it is , there are many strange things in the sky for those who pay attention. Could be extraterrestrial , interdimensional , or spiritual in origin. But you can believe it's just plasma or swamp gas if that makes you too uncomfortable
I would have thought more people would be interested. I think my video has mixed in with tons of crap. But this has the UFO changing to and from an orb which I thought is an amazing catch. And the baby UFO that meets up with it is also very interesting. I seen channels take way shittier videos and analyze it. I would have thought this video was a quality catch. Maybe too soon and I will have to wait a few days for this video to get around. It should be analyzed.
@@aaahhhchew8028 I'd say submit a report to MUFON. It's easy for vids like this to get lost in the sea of garbage. Ever since I saw something I couldn't explain I've been going through all the new ufo videos I see submitted every day and I've seen some really remarkable videos go completely unnoticed
To be honest I am shocked you found the video. When I look up my own video I can barely find it unless I type the exact title. I will check out mufon when I get home today but from my preliminary view of mufon it takes alot of info and time to submit a vid. So you think it's more than possible this vid will be over looked even though an object is literally transforming in the sky. Solid vid I thought. No question or anything around the quality i thought. You are probably right though that this vid will be completely overlooked. I was thinking of sending it to secureteam. Dunno. Anyone on TH-cam you think would be interested in analyzing? Cuz I slow down vid when UFO is transforming and it's fairly amazing. I just feel like this video is a worthy catch. I also have last video of where a bunch of military aircraft swarm the UFO and force it to land. I am worried about loading that vid though just because it could be more trouble than it's worth. Last think I need is attention from government. But if this video gets traction soon I will show the vid of all the military aircraft surrounding it in the air and forcing it to land on the ground. Well I dont know if it was forced to the ground but that's what it sure looks like in a sea of lights and military on the ground.
