It would work on Gen4 if you change the back plate to Gen5. You can even “circumvent” the back plate by taking it off, installing the slide all the way and putting the backplate back on the slide. No other modding needed.
I’ve got all gen 3 components. Is the angle of engagement for the sear just a bit steeper on the Gen 4 portion? I’m getting a ton of light primer strikes on varying ammo brands and I believe it’s the sear and striker connection
What Gen and model do you have?
@ p80’s and Geisler 19x frames. That’s why all gen 3 internals and slides.
Can I use my stick connector on a apex trigger
I recently switched from oem to the Glock Performance Trigger gen2.5 in my edc 26gen5. It says 5lb pull, but the break is so much sharper, and deletes the infamous Glock spongy creep and gritty break. Huge difference between it and the oem triggers. $80 well spent IMO
And you don't recommend it for edc because it's too light? My friend, if I draw my 26gen5 and point it at someone and my finger goes to the trigger, they're getting engaged. Period. I don't touch the trigger until it's time to go hot
Awesome Review thanks 🤩
Gen 4 trigger seems fine. I mean it's no 1911 trigger, but it's fine imo.
What trigger do you have in? Is it oem? Definitely going to change to a gen 3 trigger bar. Thanks for the information 👍 .
Awesome video, I'm definitely interested in this for my gen 5
well your camera was a little low don't you think
It’s funny to watch Lenny from the Glock Store hammer the pins in and out. You’ve got it down pat. I know a new gun will be tighter but I’ve never used a hammer on any of mine. Finesse works much better.
I recently installed a stronger return spring on mine, and im very happy with it. Available from Johnny Glock's website.
All I did with the timney trigger was just ordered the shoe and put in my g26
So thats a oem trigger?
Do not buy this trigger on two of these and they are a hit and miss you’re going to have to do some modifications. This spring is very weak. That timidity gives you and they have never fixed the problem with there triggers, they just keep selling them
if your light striking on the back in the trigger group there a park you need to bend down that is preventing a proper reset of the striker. i think johhny glock goes over it in his video on this trigger and maybe in the timney install video
It’s advertised to work on the Gen 4 lol
That’s new from glock and now comes with a gen 5 back plate that glock says is needed to make it work in a gen 4, when first released it was advertised and sold as working in gen 5 9mm only and did not come with a back plate.
@@deputydog5261 got it! Apologies. 👍
@@deputydog5261thank you for this info
@@shog4267 Welcome
i think the only thing that needs to be replaced is the slide backplate with no modification needed .. i wish you have shown the gun's backplate on this video ..
who sells them in the USA
GT Distributors has them for $65
I'm curious about the tool you used to adjust the travel, thank you
🤟💥"Glocks☆ROCKS N' ROLL"💥👊
Should come like that from the start
You pushed your frame pins out on the wrong side of the pistol per glock gunsmithing. Nobody should be using a modified trigger of yours that you copied from Johnny Glock. And your accent is annoying.
Awesome video and informative safety measures. Thanks.
What trigger shoes do you recommend? Where can I message you?
Please do video of this actually being shot at a range because i have a gen 4 glock 23 & seen this trigger at my local gun store & was wondering if it would work in my gun. But before i go off this video i need to see how it performs firing so i wont be wasting time nor money. Thanks in advance 🫡
A member of a group I’m in put a performance trigger in his 19.4 and fired 1,000 rounds so far and he said it was flawless. He just changed the back plate on the slide.
Gonna have to figure out how to change the ejector I’m guessing.
@@essaarif7941 I bought a Apex trigger instead
😍😍😍💪💪💪
I just installed it and there really is a great difference in trigger travel and reset. The trigger pull dropped to 3.5 pounds. ❤❤❤
I like this sweet candy ass brake on this trigger. It allows for easy double taps. Still not as good as a Canik trigger.
Reduced safty plunger spring and a dot conector and polish parts
Dot conector is best .
Why
Where did you have the frame done??
My biggest reservation with the GPT is the trigger not staying back after dry fire. Had the trigger stayed back like on all stock Glock trigger, would have purchased one by now.
Not that big of a deal. Sig dont stay back all the way.
Interesting. Most people consider that an advantage so they can practice multiple trigger pulls without re-racking the slide.
@@NDcompetitiveshooter Never thought about that. That's one thing I liked about my Taurus G2C when dry fire practicing. However, in the video I'm linking below, Ben Stoeger racks his G34 before testing the GP trigger. Maybe he just did it out of habit? th-cam.com/video/OnrEnOc4pNY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=PfFDQyJ3JOFJKxKJ
Learn the loaded chamber indicator and ejector placement when loaded as well as press checks. There are so many other reason that oppose your complaint. Be about it. Don't talk about it 😂
@@SnD340P938 never does.
I been carrying a handgun for self defense since 1978 ,light triggers are garbage, only for target shooting, not even for IDPA.
can you explain more ?
@@sixstab2967 For carry/self-defense I prefer the stock Glock trigger. I don't want to carry a light trigger; this is a trigger for range fun only. Most self-defense shootings are less than 7 yards, a light trigger isn't going to make you any more accurate than you need to be. I want a more definite pull, and the stock Glock trigger was designed for combat/self-defense. I don't need a sweet candy ass break, as seen in this video.
It’s a great trigger change out the trigger shoe for a Johnny Glocks vex shoe
