The Japanese like our food fresh. Served as part of dinner at a ryokan in Tango Peninsula, Japan. It seems cruel but they say these creatures have no nerves to feel any pain. And don't we boil lobsters alive all the time, too? And yes, it was delish. :)

Did you go to Los Altos High?
Old world deli, crown books. The mall was thriving in the 70s and 80s! Not so much now.
Were your neighbors the McDonald family? I think I recognize them and they lived on that street.
Yes!
@@manakoihaya - Sending a link to the video to their daughter😊. Thank you for posting the video. My husband and I both grew up in Hacienda Heights and loved seeing the video. Old views of Colima and areas surrounding the mall brought back memories.
@eileengarcia6650 that's my Grandpa Jack! Thanks for sending my family this link... pretty sure you sent it to my aunt.
Grew up in La Verne-San Dina’s area and would occasionally come to Puente Hills Mall, which in the 70’s and 80’s was the “in” place to go. All the great stores, restaurants, cinemas and misc. entertainment. Pretty much anything and everything could be found there. Fun times and great memories.
That’s back when white people lived there… lol!
Just went there today, what a beautiful place it is. Cant believe the south of Colima was empty like the wild west movies, when I move there in 2004 it was already the way it looks today, I'm sure this place is full of history. Hope i can one day afford a house in the city I grow up in.
Anyone remember The Pad, Garo st?
I saw this from my work office window in 2007. It looked like it came from behind the Hollywood sign.
1974年12月、小4までE地区に住んでました。開成小学校。 ピーコックの夏祭りが懐かしいです。
Fuck this racist tweaker city.
Time Capsule
Lived on Los Altos drive from 1973 (year of my birth) until June of 1986. Move to Diamond Bar, which we hadn't.
O. M. G.!!! You have footage of the Puente Hills Mall in 1978!!! This video is a hidden treasure! Thanks for sharing.
1:13 You can see the hospital where I was born, this very same year.
My family lived on Walbrook street. My brothers went to Shadyben elementary , but I don't think that's the name anymore, and went to Los Altos High
I feel like I'm watching Sinister.
Thank you for showing this !! I used to live in Shady meadow drive in1978-1981...And I used to go to La Puente hill mall everyday back then...wow I appreciate this movie!!! Hi from Japan!!

Not cool that you filmed this! How do you think it feels to being burned alive? Cruel.

Thanks for sharing! I lived in Hacienda Heights all my life. This film brought back memories. I was seven when this was made. We live close to you on Rio Claro Dr.
Lived in Hacienda Heights from 1978 to 2003 and my parents still lives there in the High Tor gated community. Scene 1:31 - Going downhill (east bound) on Colima Road. I can see the spire point of the Mormon temple at the corner of Colima Road and Dawn Haven Road, which is the next intersection after passing Country Canyon Road. Thank you for sharing : -)
Great video my parents house is right on Colima before the Mormon church. They owned it in 1978
Puente hills mall isn’t what it use to be
Peacefully spreading covid? Thanks all
2:08 J.W. Robinson's at Puente Hills Mall before it became Robinsons-May in 1993 and Macy's in 2006. 2:26 Alongside, Sears existed at its golden age before it closed in 2018. And also off camera two other anchor stores JCPenney and The Broadway also existed at the mall. They both closed in 1996, which brought Burlington Coat Factory and 24 Hour Fitness on JCPenney building and AMC Theaters on Broadway site. The mall footages before Back To The Future was filmed in 1985.
Don't forget the other historical places around the area during the era: Best Products, Cost Plus, PJ Pizzaz, Skate Country, Malibu Grande Prix, Showboat, Music Plus, Levitz Furniture, Long John Silvers, Fotomat (middle of the parking lot), Velvet Turtle, AMC East 4, AMC West 6, AMC Plaza 10, Mann 6 Theater, etc.....
当時のモダンな街中、小一まで住んでいた香里園。歩く姿が可愛い..ピーコックの前辺り(?)かな?
香里園B21に住んでいました😊 涙出る位懐かしい… ありがとうございます

Hell, the Puente Hills Mall today doesn't even have that many cars in the parking lot around Christmas time! 😞

I have lived in Hacienda Heights since I existed! 26 years old now and it's wonderful to see something like this.
Wow, Sears. Now, it's closed as of 2018😢
