I do not have navigation I can use my phone for that. So, I guess it is good I do not have it...I am new to Maxima's and anything built in the 2000's so this is all new territory.

question so the VSS is not grounded at the switch but is run in loop so it will just open that wire not ground it and also does it set a vss code

So ground the parking brake wire going to stereo and get the vss wire to the toggle switch?

What to do when with $10 bypass or just simply grounding brake wire, dashboard red “BRAKE” warning light illuminated and chimes sounds beep, beep while driving (VSS wire cut, disconnected) 2017 Nissan Pathfinder original AV radio equipment.

Does anyone know if you can add this factory nav to a maxima that don't have it? I know I need to replace the screen, control panel and CD unit but I'm not sure if the wire harnesses will support it. Does anyone know if it would work after replacing everything?

I'd love to install the switch on the left of the key fob port under the left side mirror adjuster/heated steering wheel/trunk switches.

Works Great on Maxima 2013 SV. The parking break wire is green ed on my model. Added a mirabox from amazon and now i have android auto and full screen mirroring on my stereo.

I have a 2014 premium package with everything. I grounded the parking wire without putting a switch on the VSS cable. It works but only when I am driving under 5mph. Then the warning message pops up. Also it has interfered with my power windows. they go down automatically but will not go up automatically now. Any help??

How can I bypass my 2006 Infiniti m35?

Excellent video .I'll share my experience on both part 1 and 2. I just did this mod to my 2014 NIssan Maxima SV with DVD Nav. Works like a champ. Does not seem to affect any Gas MPG info at all. That is displayed on the HUD by odometer accurately. I use this for Nav bypass inputs and also so my kids can watch DVD while vehicle is in motion. To further clarify, your wires are (Violet/white )aka Purple/white strip for the toggle switch and red/green for ground wire to chassis. This was same in my 2014 also. I picked up a Dorman Toggle switch part#85908 15 amp with screw terminals (more secure). It was the smallest one (silver knob) from Advance Auto Parts. I did manage to slice my finger on bottom on radio housing, it is Sharp! I did not remove my gear shift knob, just placed a large towel over my console below including knob . Then I moved shifter to reverse with parking brake applied before removing battery power. No scratches/damage incurred. Thanks for sharing..

I guess what was a bit confusing to me was that in your video you would call the vss wire purple/wht, then you would say violet/wht which color did you really mean ? My car is 2010 Nissen maxima

But the video stop playing when car is moving, but start back to play when I hit regular brakes what did I do wrong

Need your help ,dont know what I did wrong, per your instructions, I cut the purple and wht wire, ran thin copper wire pretty much like same gauge of stereo wire and connected them to them switch, I ground red and green wire on end, then taped other end that goes back into vechicle. But none of that worked, so I tried to put the purple wire back to original state, and just put the parking brake wires on switch ,now the only thing that happens is that the video plays without parking brake on,
