I was very keen to read Mrs S last year and was so disappointed… I’d definitely recommend listening to the audiobook in tandem with the physical… once you get reading you’ll see why but I hope you enjoy it more than me!
Oh wow, that's such a shame! Thank you for the suggestion of listening to the audiobook too! I haven't heard many people discussing it so great to hear your thoughts 😊
I appreciate this gentle and kind cozy video. Your home library is so inviting and your kitties are so sweet. I get what you mean about wanting to just disappear into a mesmerizing book-me too. I’ve been dipping my toe into the fantasy genre with mixed results. Have you read Rachel Gillig’s The Shepherd King Duology, One Dark Window and Two Twisted Crowns? I liked both of those. As usual, I got them from Libby and read them on my Kindle. Are you on Goodreads or Storygraph? Thanks again for the video.
I am so glad you enjoyed 💫 I feel very lucky to have the space i do and the cute kitties (even if sometimes they are naughty 😂). So excited you're dipping your toe into fantasy - Yes, I have read both from The Shepherd King Duology. I sadly didn't love it but thought it was such a unique world and concept of magic, the characters and plot were also both great to read! So glad you liked them both. I'm on storygraph but i must say i never update it.. oops. I use my own personal tracker to track my reads and thoughts and goals etc. Helps somewhat take the pressure off me a little 😊
❤🎄📚 🎹 ❤️ I hope your health improves soon with your self care and the beautiful holiday season. This is such a cozy video and everything looks lovely. I'm going to just enjoy light and fun reads through December. I scraped reading my original tbr, a bit too deep. I'm reading Marilla of Green Gables by Sarah McCoy right now and listening to Flora's Travelling Christmas Shop by Rebecca Raisin. Planning on reading Mrs. England by Stacey Halls and listening to The Christmas Bookshop by Jenny Colgan next.
Thank you for the well wishes & kind comments, it has bought a smile to my face. I love your reading choices and so glad you’re making reading a joy again 🧸✨ I have not heard of any of those books! Thank you so much for sharing because i want to look into them now 😊 Wishing you health and happiness too ✨
A lovely comforting video. Your home is so lovely. So sorry for your health struggles. I hope the cosy season allows many more homey days to feel a little stronger daily Xxxx
Thank you ever so much - your kind words truly mean the world and like a warm hug 🥰✨ Wishing you health and happiness - too! 💫
@woodlandbunny thank you for your lovely reply. Take good care ❤️ Xxx
What a lovely relaxing video. Very enjoyable!
Thank you - I appreciate you being here and spending your time with me 💫
If you like cozy fantasy, I recommend Can’t Spell Treason without Tea. I borrowed it from the Libby App through my library. I looked at the sample of When the Moon Hatched on Libby land the writing style may be a little overwrought for my taste.
Ooh I’ll have to check that one out (I've heard of it but haven't yet picked it up)! 🥰 Thank you for the recommendation. I completely understand the writing style may be a little overwrought for your taste and i think that's exactly how i felt too but just couldn't seem to phrase it.
I hope you enjoy these TBR's Annie. I've not read any Ali Smith though I do have a couple of her seasons books here amongst my mass of books! I think from what people have said you either enjoy her books or not. I am trying to start to get back into reading, I'm finding it hard, so am starting with YA/childrens as easier to get into and to be honest there have been some amazing books out there over the years for younger people that resonate well with adults. I will see how I get on. I miss reading SO much 😥I shall be glad when can have it as part of my life again. Looking forward to seeing what you made of your books. Take care xx💖xx
Lovely to hear from you, Gemma! I am very excited to read Ali Smith's works - fingers crossed i enjoy it 😊 Oh YA/ children's literature is a wonderful place to start - i am so happy you are beginning to start reading again but just a reminder that i also tell myself which hopefully will help, don't put pressure on it. My heart breaks for you missing reading as i completely understand how you feel and i keep everything crossed that you will eventually get back to your desired reader self but, even the fact you are choosing what sub genre to read and making plans shows you are truly a reader! 🦊 ✨ Take care too 💌
So beautiful 🤍✨️
Thank you! ⋆.💐⋆
I've heard such good things about Every Exquisite Thing! would love to hear your thoughts when you get to it ☺️
Ohh, that's great to hear, thank you for letting me know 🥰 Excited to read it myself and will share my thoughts! ⋆.💐⋆
That letter to your TBR was so cute! ❤
Thank you so much! 💌🥰
I love your channel✨💖
Thank you! 💌🥰✨
I haven't read any of the books you mentioned, but they are in my tbr too
I can't wait until you read them too! Looking forward to sharing our thoughts 😊
I think that The book that woudn't burn is a trilogy
No way! I honestly had no idea.. i really should learn to research books before yapping about them but i get so scared of spoiling myself 😂 just look for a few keywords and then yup, i'm sold! Thanks for letting me know 🥰✨
@ I do the same as you, I don’t want to know what’s about, just some vibes
❤📚📚❤️
💌✨🥰
I love what you are wearing! The dress, your glasses, the accessories - it inspires me to try and put together nice outfits like this even if I am not seeing other people
This is so kind - thank you <3 I hope that you do. I honestly feel it is an act of self-love for me! 🥰✨
Enjoyed your cataloging Annie. I'm afraid I have way far too many books to even begin to do a TBR or have my books documented. I think if you have a manageable amount then its a good thing to do as you can keep track nicely. I suppose also I am spontaneous about reading as what I might like to think I'd read today I might not wish to tomorrow. However due to my health and lots of other problems I just cant seem to read and its been several months now since I read a book from cover to cover, it upsets me and I must try and sort things out where I can have my love of books and reading as part of my life again. I wish my partner liked reading, but he doesn't which makes it harder. I always feel its a solitary activity when reading, but if he read when I was reading we'd have a shared interest. I used to read for hours in a day before and would get through a lot of books in a month when single. How do you get the balance to read, I know your partner likes books so maybe its easier? Do you ever feel guilty for reading? I know its a funny question but I often do and I don't know why. Looking forward to your next videos. Take care Annie🐱📚xx
I really appreciate your kind words and your vulnerability in sharing your journey. It’s completely understandable to feel overwhelmed sometimes. Just know that your love for books will always be there waiting for you. Sending hugs! 🤎✨
Hello Annie, really enjoyed and needed this video, was a real pleasure to watch. Looks like you were really enjoying your Sunday coffee and cake (looked yum!) also loved your woodland creatures mug at the start. I know from other videos you suffer with a chronic illness, I did wonder if it was ME. I have had ME since 1989, its interfered with my life a lot sadly, its such a misunderstood and difficult condition. I also have other illnesses so life can be hard. I have always tried to remain positive but not always easy when poorly and in pain all the time. I think reading is a life line for me, although the last few years I have found I cant concentrate as well for reading. I'd go through several books a week and now I've not read one in months. I've had lots of life events too holding me back and lots of stress, so this hasn't helped. I think living where you do by the sea must be a soothing tonic for mind, body and soul in itself, I always feel more alive and belonging when at the coast, my dream from a child is to live by the sea, I'm trying to make it happen but so many obstacles in the way. Your books sound interesting, wonder how you got on with them. I dont know much about Miranda Hart and didn't know she had ME. Your kitties grow every time we see them, they must be great comfort. Your walk looked great, I try and have a walk daily, but lately its not been happening so much, had snow here today and its very cold outside, I suppose its a change from all the rain. I find a walk is good to help my body and gives me a space to think things over too, puts some things into better perspective. I am off to watch your other video, not been on YT past week or so have had a virus so on top of my ME its hard to do things. Take care Annie and thanks for being here and for being you. Lots of love xx 💖💖xx
Hello Gemma, once again lovely to hear from you. I'm so glad you enjoyed 🥰 ME is definitely a hard beast to fight on a daily basis, my thoughts are with you as a fellow person with ME. I completely agree on reading being a life line. Sometimes when life feels unbearable when you cannot even get out of bed due to pain, reading feels like a big warm hug. I adore living where i do, however like everything, it has it's drawbacks but yes - being a maximum 10 minute drive away from the sea is incredibly soothing. I cannot lie, i'm still making my way through the books but 'I haven't been entirely honest with you' by Miranda Hart has such wisdom packed into it i don't mind at all taking my time with it. I feel so validated but so inspired. I highly recommend it. The kitties are forever growing indeed. Thank you for the love and support as always. Sending you well wishes and virtual hugs. 🤎✨
your videos always bring me so much comfort, but wow, this one made it on a whole another level 🤌🏻🧡 thank you annie! 🧸🍂

Thank you for your kind words & so glad you were able to feel the calm vibe! I adore my kittens so always want to make sure they're happy and feel safe 🥰✨
❤📚📚❤️ Such cozy vibes. Introverted me, loved it. I'm happy in my very small town mundane life with my wonderful books!
I love hearing this! 🧸✨& so glad you feel similar 🥰 sending hugs!
@woodlandbunny 🤗
I have a problem I wanted my tbr under 350 books 📚 but it is know over 450 books 📚 I am in a huge mess and I have done this because I have bought books 📚 to deal with my mom’s death and my wife’s dementia problem xxx
Oh wow - that is an awful lot of books but I completely understand your reasons. Not that you need one to do and collect something you enjoy may I add and emphasise. Sending my thoughts to you on this time of loss and grief. I hope you are kind to yourself. I hope you have a wonderful day or night, whatever you are doing.. ⋆.💐⋆
@ those kind words mean the world to me and thank you 🙏 from the bottom of my heart ❤️
@JohnSaxon-vw5vi I understand how you are feeling and buying the books to help you. I have always been a book lover and had a lot, but when mum died my collecting just went beserk, I always found I was buying things on E-Bay, charity shops and other places, to fill a gap I suppose. My books have got very out of hand, I have over 24,000 of them and I need to declutter and then get my library back to some normality. I don't have a TBR as there are too many books to think ahead to which I'd like to read next! I found at the time buying so many books was helping me, but end of the day it was just covering up my grief and loss. I've learnt since not to buy things to compensate loss, its not easy. For me the buying was very short lived in terms of being helpful, gave me a boost at the time, then made me feel anxious and frustrated after. My thoughts are with you.
@ Gemma you have no idea what you’re kind words mean to me from the bottom of my heart ❤️ and I think I am going through the same thing as you are too 💜💜💜
I limit my physical book library to classics. Everything else is read on my Kindle or as an audiobook through Libby, Hoopla or Audible. I notice we both have Miranda Hart’s new book and I am on the Libby waitlist for Gliff, which doesn’t publish until February 2025 in the States.
It is truly wonderful to find someone else who utilises multiple forms of reading, especially using Libby etc. I get overstimulated quite easily in both visually and audibly so sometimes kindle and audiobooks are not best placed for me. I just need to be looking at book pages (if that makes any sense? So, I don't think anything will ever beat a physical read for me!) 🧸✨ Yes - I very recently got Miranda Hart's new book as I love her comedy and have ME/CFS as she discussing in the book. I'm currently reading it and loving it. Oh goodness, that's such a wait for Gliff.. [I honestly convinced myself it was cliff?! 😂 oops! I am very excited to read it and hope it is worth the wait for you].
@ I still love physical books, but my aging eyes need the flexibility to enlarge font and a built-in book light can’t be beat. I didn’t know that Miranda Hart’s book had anything to do with ME/CFS until I began reading it; I also have it. Fortunately, the Stanford ME/CFS Department is five minutes from my home. With 50% of people who have Long Covid eventually getting ME/CFS, a lot more resources for research are becoming available. Hopefully you and I, along with everyone else, will ultimately benefit.
@@athertonca I completely understand. Whenever i’m having a particular flare up which affects my head enlarging the font and adjusting the brightness on a kindle is something I’m eternally grateful for! Oh wow that is amazing to live so close to such a resource and i’m in complete agreement with you. Sadly i felt i received my diagnosis then was sent on my ‘merry way’ so a lot of self learning. If you have anything to share please do! Wishing you wellness and a wonderful day or night ❤️🩹
We have a problem I just bought more books the backlog is getting crazy 🤪
That made me giggle, but it's a good problem to have! 🧸✨

I really like how you edit your videos, always stunning visually! Lucy Undying is intriguing me, I like Kirsten White and I don’t read enough of her books
So incredibly kind of you! Thank you 🥰 Lucy Undying was definitely a fun read. I need to read more from Kirsten White. I believe I read 'And I darken' a few years ago and enjoyed it. Look forward to hearing your thoughts if you decide to pick it up.
❤📚📚❤️ I'm not a big romance reader, but Archer's Voice sounds like something I would really enjoy. Thanks!
It's truly not like many romances I've read. I do highly recommend it! It's quite heart-wrenching but in a wholesome way at the end 🥰✨
Your library is so lovely
Thank you so much!
The bookshelves look amazing! 🥰 love getting little home library tours
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed the tour 🥰
Hello Annie, I really needed this video, its so lovely to see your library and a glimpse of your partner😃 You have put so much thought into laying your library out, the book cases you were putting together are like the ones I have but mine are a lot taller and wider, good choice. I like them as the colour is dark wood. I love how you have your plants and cuddlies here and there, it seems such a special space. As I have said before my library and home is chaos/over run with books, but hopefully one day it will get back to a library once more. Having so many health problems I'm so limited to do jobs. I really 💖your Autumn dunagrees, so cute. The kitties certainly are growing fast, didn't seem long that they were tiny little things, its good they are able to share your book space. Sorry this is a little shorter than usual, still getting over my virus and its gone onto my chest, so everything is a big task at the moment. Trying to be kind to myself but I get frustrated so easily. I look forward to your next upload and then the book we chose, I didn't choose the one that had the most votes, but hope you have a happy time, digesting it. Much love to you xx
Hello Gemma, I'm so glad this video could come at a good time for you. It was so much fun to film and craft together. I just adore the darker wood too, it allows the space to feel a lot for cosy with the darker tones and more authentic to a vintage library in my mind haha! The kitties truly are growing exceptionally fast, i cannot believe how much so and their personalities are also developing more and more every single day. I hope the virus goes away soon and that you can make a speedy recovery from it. Please be kind to yourself but i understand your feelings of frustration. Take care of yourself as always. I hope you have a wonderful day, or night. Until next time 💌🥰✨
❤📚📚❤️ Such a cozy library! I hope it brings you and your partner much happiness!
So kind as always - it certainly does. I hope you are keeping well 🧸💌✨🥰

Ahhh your library is so cosy! ❤
Thank you! It truly is my safe haven✨🥰
Loved it ,such a cosy space. I live in my bedroom because of chronic health issues and unfortunately I have been.mostly in bed for the last 9 years. I keep wondering where I can put my increasing growth of books 📚 📚📚 I have a little sitting room next door to my bedroom and that is full of books too. Lots to think about Well done, loved the video. 🙏💖🐈🐈⬛🐈🐇🐇💖
Thank you ever so much! I truly sympathise with you as a fellow Chronic health person and sending you the biggest hugs on the days you most need it. How wonderful that you have a little sitting room next to your bedroom, sending you strength for some good days ahead and hope your book collection can bring you joy. Thank you ever so much for watching, commenting and spending your time with me 🧸💌✨🥰

It really is a lovely read and I hope you enjoy it 🥰
Lovely 😊
Thank you! 😊
Lovely to see and hear what you've been reading. You managed a lot of reads last month, well done. I love your necklace Annie and goes well with your Autumnal jumper. You say you love Autumn, a lot of people seem to, but makes me rather depressed, thinking of winter around the corner. I must try and start reading more again, its really slipped. Books are such a big part of my life but lately it feels like we are strangers😥 Sorry this is short but got a virus and feel yuck. Take care Annie xx
Thank you for the compliment on my necklace - it was a birthday present from my partner! 🥰. I truly do adore the colours of autumn, the cosiness it brings as well as the reminder to slow down. I completely understand how you feel though, i do tend to head towards a bit of seasonal depression with the days getting darker and the rain feelings somewhat endless but each year i try to embrace the seasons and all that they bring. I really hope you find your spark with reading again. Much love to you. I hope you have a wonderful day, or night! ✨
Such eloquent and insightful reviews ❤✨️ I love monthly book review videos to get recommendations as well, so slightly delayed monthly recommendations is not an issue at all in my mind!
SO incredibly kind, thank you 🤎✨ Completely agree - adore monthly book reviews for recommendations and thankful to you for watching!
The film of 84 Charing Cross Road is very good. Thanks for some great book recommendations 😀
I hope you enjoy the recommendations! 🥰✨ I had no idea there was a film.. I feel so clueless haha, thank you for letting me know
