The game never even started 😅 one of the guys ended up dropping because they couldn’t decide on who was gonna go second.

Yeah they were beefing over who goes second, one of the players decided it would be a better idea to flip a coin than roll dice so that’s what it was about.

Based on gameplay, it seems to be the standard Boa list right now with 3 Bounce 10c Kaidos, 1 9c Mihawk and most likely 1 7c Doffy.

I don’t have the list and that player rarely comes to locals 🥲

We talked about it after and there were definitely some things he could’ve done differently to put him in a better position.

Mr. Vocatti, today, I shall play Doflamingo and get a couple of games recorded for you.

He’s my friend so he doesn’t mind but if it was someone I didn’t know I definitely wouldn’t do that.

The reason why I played it that way is because I saw my opponent was struggling to find a baby Luffy so I was using that to my advantage that way he couldn’t leader effect plus Gecko which is why I was leaving him at 1 life until I was ready to go for game but doing it your way would’ve been correct against any other deck.

@ fair , but consider the value . You get 2 cards from hand, sabo off field. Plus space luffy to bottom. He goes down to 4 cards in hand. Then when he plays gecko, he has to pitch a card to use bY, effect, and then play an additional card in hand to have 2 health. Now he has 3 cards. See my point?

Even if he played gecko, you’d have 4 rested characters , and 3 health.

The problem is if I put him to zero and he starts using his leader effect like crazy, it makes it a lot harder to kill him since he’s a 7k-9k leader every turn. I’d rather setup up my big bodies early on while starving him of his life that way I can efficiently beat him.

@@TheMetaPirates The issue with that is they run Raigo’s and Kuzans with pop luffys and that pops every character in your deck so setting up big bodies yes is good early but I was watching and you didn’t pressure imo when you were supposed too cause AS soon as you see weakness from the BY luffys plays you gotta make them expend cards out of their hand. This was a very easy game for the p luffy player to lose if the BY player even sees a half portion of what they needed. They didn’t do it worked out but still.

@ if you swing with zorojuro and your leader he’s at 1 life by the time you drop your Luffy taro into sangoro. Forcing him to transform on 6 life so he can at a maximum go to 7k 2 life with Hiyori or 7k 1 life with flampe. It also forces him to lose lots of cards in hand if he transforms so early as he can’t even use more until 2 turns later. With 2 6k bodies on board and an 8k body, chip at him until he loses cards in hand. You also have access to usohachi and 9c big mum.

@@DarkItachi Linlins change that tho. If you see a linlin in opening hand, its often better to just ramp fast to her. Bottom life a Kuzan to make things awkward, and heal and develop a big body that puts pressure even he by is max power.

Use linlin to put card on top of life. Then swing at life. If he doesn’t counter the card gets bottom deck. And if he does defend, you got rid of cards from his hand.

Feel like Luffy player should have dedicated a lot of Don to Big Mom to try and clear the shanks. Since that Shanks stayed on board it just went down hill after that

@ Looking back on the video I think I could’ve been more aggressive early with my don instead of establishing bodies but I’m not too sure since it was my first time playing the match up.

Buggy has to have 5 characters with a cost of 5 or more to stay on field - Mr 3 is not a 5 cost character so Buggy gets bottom decked.

Has to 10c Buggy requires 5 5-cost or greater Cross-Guild type characters in order to stay on the board (Including himself.)
