I found out about JPEXS Flash Decompiler, so decompiled rumblesushi's Super Drift 3d (which is my favorite flash game). I asked myself "hmm, it's been since 2017 that i make games, i have the original source code, all the assets and flash is dead. Maybe i could remake the entire game, it shouldn't be hard, right ?" right ? ...

i changed up a bit the source code so you can play against 3 other cars instead of only one I will apply some changes to the source code so it can be a funnier game to play If anyone want a downloadable version of this tell me in the comments

make the car physics painful shit like in the original game
I wonder if changing the inputs for the drifting could work when modding this game, since I hate how the drifting is done by tapping shift while going forward and steering, with the cancelling of drift via releasing forward button, as opposed to just hold shift to drift and release to cancel it.
If Super Drift had multiplayer or a mode involving more racers, this would be it.
If F-Zero with real-life cars exist, this would be an example, I guess

Why do you play the opponent and also the player?
Is it possible to add custom courses into the Super Drift games, or is it only possible to only modify it?
i don't know how to add models to the game unfortunately... in all my videos i've been editing existing files and i coudn't find a way to add stuff to the game without breaking everything
@@KrisDevStuff welp, that's bad. I wanted to put some custom tracks from games like Mario Kart for example. but I understand you. so, if anyone figures out, how to put custom tracks without breaking the game, they're absolute geniuses. thx for the info tho.

Are you also able to extract car models in this way?
i don't think it's possible. The car models are actally a text file with a bunch of numbers representing geometry. I haven't found a way to convert this into a 3d model

How applicable is this to the other games? SD2 and SD4 probably work about the same, but what about SD3D? is that still modded in a similar way too?
Yes it can be modded like any other super drift game. However SD3D was coded differently so you have to dig a little more in the scripts and files to find what you want

I forgot to mention : after adding more cars (around 4:48 in the video), make sure to replace in the timeTrialsClick() function "main.playerHUD.positionTimeTrials()" by "main.playerHUD.positionArcade()". Otherwise you will not see your current position. If anyone needs help for coding stuff feel free to comment!

install jpexs flash decompiler, open your super drift 3d swf file in it, and then you'll have a folder with all the textures in it
