Hi Friends,
This video is covers itinerary of BigIsland Hawaii for 2 days's trip. It was part of my 7 days trip where we spent 2 days in BigIsland and enjoyed only well known things in BigIsland. The very famous Volcano National Park and SkyDiving over the sea with 10000 ft sky high view of 3 islands of Hawaii.
This video could be helpful for you guys, if planning to spend couple of days in BigIsland and looking to cover only the well known must go place. 2-3 days are good to spend in BigIsland, you should be able to cover some more places yet relaxing too.
We landed in Kona airport and drove to Hilo side. Directly landing in Hilo was a costly affair. Drive from Kona airport to Hilo side was approx 2 hours of drive. Roads are very well maintained and with sufficient lighting. We drove in midnight on this road and didn't feel worried even though everything was new.
Itinerary:
Day 0: Land in Kona airport from your origin place
Day 1: Volcano National Park
3 Overlook points on Crater Rim Drive
Devastation Trail (For Day and Night view)
Thurston Lava Tube
Volcano House (For night view)
Day 2: Cover 1/2 beaches, farmers market, Lava Plateau. We did skydiving @BigIslandGravity
Tip:
1. Please carry few empty water bottles with you, as water price may shock you. Other things are also costly but thats expected on any Island. Things gets imported from US mainland.
2. If Volcano is erupting, then Must visit in night as well.
