I've always thought that Mamoru and Usagi were perfect together and Seiya was fine but for me, there was no chemistry. I can only speak from the dub from Spain, which is fairly well acted and with fairly good voices btw; I've also heard the original in Japanese. Mamoru even proposes to Usagi before he leaves to America. Isn't this the cutest thing? sn74RtU7eXU I think Seiya and Usagi came into each other's lives to help each other at a particular point. Usagi is quite innocent but she likes Seiya too, don't they kiss each other? We all know Usagi and Mamaru end up together. But Saiya wasn't just a friend. Saiya was in love with Usagi, but she didn't feel the same, although she did feel an attraction. She was faithful to Mamaru despite her not hearing from him. In the end Saiya was glad to have known Usagi like all of the people in her like feel like Usagi is the one person who brings joy just knowing her. Sailor Moon is unconditional love.

The part where Diana twitches her tail in the intro for Sailor Moon SuperS made Sarah want to go pee for some reason

season 5 never aired in my country(Sweden) but once I accidentally found it in Spanish on TH-cam when I was 9 and I've been obsessed with this ship since lol I did feel like it was emotional cheating BECAUSE there'd be a lot of flirting from seiya in between them having platonic heartfelt friends moments together. Even if I think I'm sure a guy doesn't like me and is just a big flirt (usagis perspective) I would keep my distance from someone jokingly flirting with me for my bf. But mamo didn't seem to view it as such so neither did I and there is a lot of flirting in sailor moon period I feel like hah. I like that it zooms in on sailor star fighters face when it is revealed that mamo is dead. she looks shocked, realising that mamo was in fact not just a shitty boyfriend, I think that showed that seiya truly just wanted the best for her and was never trying to steal her away just out of selfishness. Seiya was trying to steal usagi away but he believed she was in what sounds to be a pretty abusive relationship. I mean mamo is endgame and that's never gonna change so I don't get why people still gets so fired up about hating on seiya but it's still fun discussing when people are up for it

Okay so Southern constellations and the boy who could fly are technically one big mega song because Southern constellations leads into the boy who could fly. It's not the issue that it's short. It's the issue that hey why don't you guys just make this one really long song instead of having it transition but then again I get where they're coming from musically because it really kind of ties it together

Hi there! First of all I wanted to tell you that this is a great video and you are a well spoken person, however I disagree with some of your points. I just finished watching Sailor Moon (the sub not the dub) and I hate Seiya so much, he is pushy and disrespectful and here are my reasons why I dislike him so much: 1) Very early on he asks Usagi if she had a boyfriend, Usagi said yes but that he is away for now and Seiya's immediate response was "then I still have a chance with you" at that point nobody knew that Mamoru was not replying to Usagi's letters. 2) Usagi NEVER told Seiya that Mamoru hasn't answered her, so he doesn't have a reason to believe that Mamoru is a bad boyfriend, thus making the photograph scene kinda cringe. 3) When they asked him if Usagi was her girlfriend he responded that yes, she was, even though Usagi already told him that she had a boyfriend. 4) Seiya is so disrespectful to Usagi and he feels that he is entitled to so many things for being a "good guy" for example on the softball episode he signed Usagi for the team WITHOUT her consent and when Usagi confronted him about it he told her: "you should be grateful that I am making my time for you", ugh that was so toxic. 5) When Usagi had a breakdown after finally admitting that Mamoru wasn't answering his response was: "can I take his place?", he wanted to take advantage of her vulnerability and completey disregard what she was feeling. 6) Even after Usagi turned him down he still told her "I'm going to steal you away." So yes, Seiya was bad for Usagi, however I do agree on what you said about Usagi not cheating on Mamoru, she stood loyal to him and never crossed the line with Seiya. If Seiya never had feelings towards Usagi then my perception would've been way different, if it was a platonic relationship on both sides I would have said "aww what a cute friendship!", but since Seiya had romantic feelings towards Usagi then I just see him as a girlfriend stealer.

The scene in Stars when Usagi confesses to Rei that Mamo has not written to her or called her since leaving is poignant but also... amusing. When Usagi tells Rei that she has had no contact with her boyfriend since he left, Rei cries out: "Why didn't you tell someone? It doesn't make any sense!" It's like the writers are admitting that the story doesn't make any sense, and they're right! It is beyond belief Usagi would have kept this information as a secret. This is extremely out of character for Usagi. She is not a person who is shy about expressing her emotions! She would have at the very least told Luna or Rei.

H more ppl would talk about this I can't wait for another 10 or 20 years to go by and we get another sailor Moon anime that's a mix of both the manga and the 90s anime rolled into and we'll still be sitting here going back and forth on this in are late 50s and 60s XD

Shes actually been very vocal about mamaru in the sub. Its just the fact that seiya thinks mamaru had ditched her to go to America.

i don’t care if you’re contagious doesn’t make much sense lyrically until you know the story behind it - vic wrote the song in honor of a fan whose boyfriend passed away in a car accident, and she told him the first time he ever held her hand was at one of their shows. she thanked them for being apart of their lives and vic was so moved he wrote the song in their honor <3 “Cause I don't wanna leave without you buried by my side I'd rather kill the one responsible For falling stars at night 'Cause they fall all around me The night can be deadly” the song is from the perspective of the deceased boyfriend, ‘falling stars’ referring to the girlfriend’s tears, likely implying she’s crying over his grave. the last line refers to the accident itself. there’s so much more but TLDR i will defend this song until the day i die lol

personally love this idea too !!! whats crazy is Yeah Boy and Doll Face and Wonderless are definitely the best songs on the album. but i gotta disagree with you She Sings In The Morning, for me, is easily the least interesting song on the album. id rather die is easily forgetable but because its so bad. the best songs on the album have got to be: Yeah Boy and Doll Face Wonderless Diamonds and Why Men Buy Them Falling Asleep On A Stranger Nice video, am gonna check out your ratings of selfish machines and im looking forward to the rest of the albums !!!!
