For many of us Jimmy Clitheroe brings back so many memories of both his radio and TV shows we enjoyed as children. Born 24th Dec 1921 - 6th June 1973, it's hard to believe in this performance he would have been 34-35 years of age. It's so sad to hear he passed away on the day of his mother's funeral, he was such a beloved entertainer who's popularity never seemed to wane, it's ironic that a celebrity who's fame was being the eternal child star because of his height and ageless appearance. There were apparently humorous stories about him (a child) reportedly seen driving his Jaguar (adapted for his height) through Blackburn/Burnley/Skipton areas.
