    Thank you for this tutorial. I am a new user of Bridge and didn't know how important it is to clean the cache. I work with a lot of metadata (keywords, et al.) and changes weren't being properly reflected in Bridge's metadata panel. At first I thought something was just plain buggy, but after a bit of research (primarily watching your video) I was able to resolve all those issues with a good cache cleaning. I have set Bridge to purge the cache frequently, so new metadata is being accurately reflected. Thanks again, Mike

      Hi Cassandra...I'm not sure why it would be doing this for you. Few options/actions to consider. (1) Restart Bridge/your computer (2) Check for updates with Bridge (3) Space on your hard drive

    i don't think an option to toggle the effect of the active mask off and on exists. I have asked around on YT among serious photographers. Nobody knows about a short-key for this purpose. As you mention none of the other before-after keys are useful for this specific purpose. I have posted a question about this in the Adobe Family forum, and nobody has come up with the right answer. The feature apparently disappeared with the latest upgrade. A work-around is to right-click the button of the active mask and select "Reset Local Correction Settings", which will reset all sliders to "before" - and then return to "after" with Ctrl+Z or Cmd+Z. But it's a laborious way (and a pain in a lower body part). Please let me know, if you get anything from Adobe. PS: The brain dead muzak in the background is disturbing in my opinion and distracts me from the intelligent content of an otherwise informational video.

      Thanks for your comment Eigil... I am yet to find a solution on this as well. It certainly was a good feature to be able to turn local adjustments on and off so hopefully with a Pugh encouragement, Adobe will put it back in. Thanks also for the feedback on the music..:)

    Hi from Cyprus . Am a wedding photographer and i use camera raw from 2007. Work good the new update but the biggest problems is when you open a lot photos you cant make custom size like before and you cant move to the next photo with arrows keys so i need x10 times to finish my projects. Anyone know something how i can fix ?

    • @betterpics1770
      @betterpics1770 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Constantinos...Cheers for your question.....the arrows are still working for me to go from image to image....If your thumbnails are at the bottom of the screen (horizontal), you need to use left and right, and if the thumbnails are on the left side of the screen (vertical) you can use up and down, same as previous versions....Keeping in mind if you have made an adjustment, you need to click back on a thumbnail for the arrow options to work....In terms of a custom size for bulk images...you can do a custom ratio for bulk images through the crop tool... and a custom dimension/size when saving the images through the save dialogue box....It is in the 2nd box from the bottom called image sizing...when saving out multiple images at once, this will apply the settings you enter to all images being saved....hope this helps.....

      @@betterpics1770 Thanks for the answer! To move to the next image with arrows you must go back to the edit panel if am correct and you lost a lot of time back and front. If you want make a video to explain about crop tool because i see a lot people they complain

      Hi Constantinos....It is working for me even within the selective adjustment tools....within the edit panel, I need to click on the image again to be able to use arrows, but with selective adjustments, the arrows are working for me to move to the next image.....:)

    Hi there, it seems that after the update the zoom in/out function using the alt+mouse wheel is no longer working while using the spot removal or the adjustment brush tool. It was really useful. Am I missing something?

    • @betterpics1770
      @betterpics1770 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Arthur... that’s what I have found as well..... on either of those tools pressing alt and wheel on the mouse is not zooming in and out for me either.... cntrl and click is giving me a zoom in, default to 100%, but not specific control depending on the amount of use of the mouse wheel..... not a perfect solution, but something....

    Can you help me. My PC has updated the Raw Camera to version 12.3 and I am not able to see the changes made only in the localized adjustments, for example only in the radial filter, or only in the brush separately as before. I'm only able to see the before and after of the basic adjustments and the others below where I click on the eye and the before and after with all the adjustments together by clicking on the icon that looks like a little window. How do I see this in this version? Help me please. Thanks.

      Hi Sandra, I just did a test on mine and it seems to be working fine so not sure what the issue is...Occasionally there can be bugs in downloads so may be work shutting down your computer and restarting to see if that fixes it....just to confirm, you are clicking on one of the tools for localized adjustments, (for example, adjustment brush), changing, for example, the exposure then clicking and dragging to use the adjustment brush and nothing is happening? OR are you looking for a way to turning on and off specific localized adjustments one at a time?
