I like Franks as a character but I really think the actor and show need to tone it down a bit. Young Gibbs, Lala, Vera, and Randy are all much more interesting to me.

Just subscribed. I’ve really been enjoying this show too. Something nostalgic about a police procedural in a world I remember from when I was a teenager. I’m 30 and maybe I just like these shows again? Not sure why but I’m back into it. Maybe do some reactions to some other CBS type shows?

I have to admit this show is good… they are doing a good job

I am interested to see if they show the relationship between Director Jenny Sheppard played bye Lauren Holly and Gibbs. It was hinted at during the original series that sometime in the past they had been partners and romantically links. Also a young Ducky the pathologist it was hinted and that Gibbs and Ducky had been friends for years prior to the start of the original show.

I've seen the first three episodes now, as of Oct. 22, 2024. I'm enjoying the new show. Mark Harmon and his son Sean Harmon are doing a good job on this new show called NCIS Origins, and I really want it to succeed. I don't think that it's going to strictly follow what we have already learned from the original show, though. For instance, in the new show, Gibb's dad, Jackson (played by Robert Taylor) is there. But didn't we learn in the original that when Gibbs went back to Stillwater for the first time, that he hadn't seen his dad (played by Ralph Waite) since the funeral of Shannon and Kelly? When I see Robert Taylor, I can't help seeing Walt Longmire. Lol. But I do think that Robert Taylor was a good choice to play Jackson Gibbs. Loving it so far! And of course, getting to see and hear snippets of the old Gibbs (Mark Harmon) is priceless!

well if it does stay around for 10 years you have to have gibbs gets married and divorced 3 times.

In my opinion Harmon's son did such a good job that now they want to replace him? Seriously!? I don't plan to watch it and I am a long NCIS, NCIS L.A. fan and watcher. I want L.A. back.

I truly doubt anyone is still watching Acolyte. It is horribly written, horribly acted, and probably the worst spin off ever.

As one bloke said trying to interview the President was equivalent to try and interview Hitler in his bunker by following the Russians.

I felt like it was less about journalists being neutral and more about journalists being so focused on "getting the shot/story" that they (inadvertently, maybe) actually aggravate the tensions and conflict. Totally agree on it feeling like Zombieland.

I thought that they needed to do more world building. It was hard to have any feelings about the protagonists without understanding better the world they were in. As it was, it just seemed that the president was a douche, just because, and soldiers were fighting the government for no particular reason. At least not a sufficiently defined reason.

I don’t think that there should be a 6th movie if Johnny Depp can no longer play the role of Captain Jack Sparrow. Johnny Depp brought so much life into those films and helped make the POTC franchise into what it is today.
