I noticed when I first got it the other day that when I plugged it in, the plug fell out. I had to push it hard to make sure the plug was in. Today it wouldn’t turn on.. I tried many things but all I got was the blue blinking. I plugged it in a different hdmi port and it worked. But I plugged it back in the other port and that worked again. So it wasn’t the port, cable or power. So all it was is that it couldn’t wake up. I turned off some option that keeps it from turning off and I might give Samsung a call today. It’s working again now so I’ll just have to wait and see. I don’t believe it’s a hardware fault.

Guys, I just fixed mine by gently knocking on and around the area of the power button. I am unsure if something gets stuck internally or what but mine has been doing exactly what his does in the video and it is fixed now.

g5 32' and the same issue, but won't turn on by over a day! when I start ps5 first it won't go on. than when it's finally on, it have a short menu and button Doesn't work properly, than after 1-2 days starts working as it should, before next fu*k up

I find that the solution to this many times is unplugging the hdmi, while the computer is off, then replugging it and turning on the computer

I have a g5 and have this problem when connected to displayport. HDMI works fine. I guess the whole G series has this problem. Hope they can fix this using a firmware update

The very problem that forced me to return the product. The g7 is more like a smart tv not a monitor.

Do you guys have fix for this, if i boot the pc my samsung g7 odyssey wont get on. I need to take the power cable off and put it pack and than it will start. Power button wont do anything it is like freezed... only thing that helps little bit is to wiggle my mouse all the time when i put pc power on, somehow than it starts but if i dont do that it is just stuck and mouse wiggle wont start it. Very annoying... i have latest frimware.

The same issue and I had to unplug and plug it again and it’s unbearable how can we fix this been using it for only 2 months should i try new dp port cable or what?

Hello, the only fix that i found for standby problem is press windows key+ctr+shift+b, or press for 6 seconds off button on remote, or unplug and plug cable, i have a g7 4k 140 hz monitor, with hdmi it has on off display loop hey guys with an update, if you have cheap hdmi cable connect via hdmi and disable g-sync, and set to 60 hz, if you have good hdmi cable that supports 4k 120 hz it should work without any problem the display port conection is the problem

I've got a very similar issue with my G7, but lucky for me I don't have to physically replug the power, I "only" have to keep the button pressed for a couple of seconds and it will turn itself off. Another long-press on the button and it turns on again, and will work from there. I've tried every idea, every setting, everything. The only way to prevent it from happening is to never let it enter standby, but that's a no-go for me. FTR, I have the 28" non-curved 144 Hz 4K HDR variant, so it's not the same screen as yours. I've seen multiple reports everywhere (Samsung forums, Reddit, TH-cam, ...) of problems with resuming from standby on G7's and also G9's, so it would appear Samsung has a serious problem with standby/power management, perhaps over the entire Odyssey range? I'm starting to think it's a hardware issue that can't be fixed with a firmware update.

When I start the PC the monitor does not find the connection, I have to restart the PC again and then it finds the connection most of the time on the second try. Why? Super annoying

mine did that i just got the g7a 4k one the blue light was on but would not come on and the light even went out had to unplug it to get it working again

Guys, the solution is simple. BIOS does not support 240Hz. Switch the monitor to 60Hz and you’re done

Just got this problem right now with my G9. It stopped wirking in the middle of my work, my pc was still running, monitor turned black. The tiny blue light is still there and it does turn on black, not the off black but the on black, seems like it still has power but it doesn't do anything else. When I click the power button, it doesn't show the monitor settings anymore. I've done the unplugging many times and doesn't work. I'll try the gpu driver reinstall and we'll see. Do you have updated solution for this?

Now I’m having this issue with my ps5. Anyone find a fix? I “fixed” it by unplugging the power brick but idk how long that’ll last. I just leave it on sleep mode now instead of turning it off. Did anyone find a definitive fix?

same problem, not able to see the bios.

I fixed the issue by changing the setting in menu "Screen Size" to Auto mode from Widescreen mode. I feel like its a problem with the resolution locking on the monitor. I'm on the G9 but my problem was the exact same as this.

My G7 display ports do not work what so ever, hdmi works but display ports won't show

I have exact issue with 32 inch version. That's why I am using ''black'' screen screen saver instead of putting it sleep. (It still consumes energy but i dont care)
