*sigh* You cheeky buggers <3. I've been looking around trying to find the best 'suddenly ODE TO JOY' and no shade on that one mall in china but y'all are the first who I've heard in my lookings today that weren't just trying to be a player-piano, this one yells at the sky... Where... Are the microphones?
not synchronized 😢
We are waiting for you to return to the EU. We need you.
Oder an die Freude!
Were they singing in German?
Yes
@ thx 4 the reply
That was a dreadful rendition.
Well, at least they tried.
Ja!
Beautiful. pOignant. Too bad it's no longer the UK's transnational anrthem.
🤩
beutiful but sad to watch. Ode to Joy is the anthem of the EU. But the UK has turned its back on the EU, to its own detriment.
I hope they have improved since this performance
If they were to do this today 2024 they would be arrested for rioting
They would not.
Just more remoaner stuff - will they never learn that the British people voted for a wonderful Brexit.
Joy to the EU. Knuckle scrapping gammons still don't know what they've chucked away. English born and still European.
What we all need now is certainly more of this ! Encore ! 👍🏼☺️ Johann~ Philadelphia 🇬🇧🇺🇸
Every time I hear this piece, it sums up all that we lost with Brexshit
Wonderful. Britannia, come back in the EU
Fund the arts properly , stingy tories !!
But a year later, in a day which made the UK weaker, they left.
In England but singing a german song 😂
Who cares? This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written in ANY language! By a man who was DEAF when he wrote it, hearing each part in his mind!
We truly are a fucking ignorant nation. Majority of people walking by with hardly a glance. Makes me feel ashamed to be British and no i ain't a snob, my music of choice is about as far as you can get from classical namely psychobilly and punk
how can I get permission to use this video in a live stream on National Rejoin Day?
hi there - do you want to email us at info@dasharts.org.uk. thank you
English people, you are no longer in the European Union. Why did you do that? You are like us and we needed you. But you remain Europeans - and that's a good thing. Greetings from Munich/Bavaria
This choir is just as disharmonious as the EU itself.
На открытом пространстве исполнять любую музыку непросто. Тем более, что 9 симфония прелполагает исполнение двойным составом оркестра и хора.
❤❤❤
They actually had to re-record a bit of this afterward. You'll see some of the string players came out of a pub. They'd had a couple too many, and when they tried to play, they were off tempo. There it was, the bottom of the Ninth. The basses were loaded. The score, tied.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"PromoSM"
One day this will be the World Anthem God willing and US willing ❤❤❤❤😊
j' a l' imression qu' ils chantent avec un accent français !
Thank you, for this! The ground under your feet. Here, for 13K years Chumash. Did MIlosz speak with you about Marija Gimbutas?
England, sorry that you voted to leave the European Union? Ancient Alien Theorists say YES!
Three strings & a bassoon: great start. love the simple sounds.
This needs to be a common occurrence, bring Joy to the World <3
I think licorice is salty liquorice as salmiac
Perhaps there should be a flash mob Ode to Joy every day in London until the horrid Tory government gives up, and a decent coalition takes over, and gets us back into the EU, where we belong. And Von der Leyen needs to quit the EU. Then we can all live in peace and prosperity.
If the British were singing more often that hymn they will probably still belonged in the EU ,
Beethoven borrowed the main theme from Mozart's Misericordias Domini.
Bravo !!!!!!!!
Such a great show!
Love this!
Very moving piece of political documentary theatre presenting a unique insight into the Crimean story through the lens of endearing and resilient Tatar women! I hope it helps bring attention to the shocking detention of their citizen journalist husbands and family members. Great to have been a part of this.
Amazing project
Great piece of theatre I have never seen before.
i love lodon

Thanks for a great podcast. So good to hear Billy talking about the process of writing his version of the words. The Internationale is a mainstay at the annual Street Choirs Festival. I think this may be one of the most recent live recordings from the Festival hosted by Red Leicester Choir in Leicester the weekend the Brexit vote was announced. It certainly united us all in song. th-cam.com/video/ERDFCb11y5g/w-d-xo.html
