The streets of Stargaze City have remained placid and inviting for many years, home to folk of various species, backgrounds and personalities, all looking to simply get away from it all and coexist under the endless night sky. However, a faintly familiar splash of color once again grazes the city skyline; despite many hurdles faced during its resurgence, RetroFest is finally back!
The buildings, illuminated with rainbow hues, create a vibrant backdrop for now-pixelated banners, signs and even spotlights. Some city folk never even got to experience the original event back in the day, but its finally been reborn, an old-school celebration of games, technology... and music of a time long past.
Well, better late than never, huh?
This project I've had in the background for TWO YEARS FINALLY gets to see the light of day! I was originally shooting to finally pick this project back up and put it out on the original Retro Metro's 5-year anniversary, buuuut I'm definitely trying to still find my groove with music again tbh.
Regardless, it was prettyyyyy difficult to gut the original project and turn it into something that meets my current standards, but I'm EXTREMELY happy with how this turned out! I don't think it could've gone better, and I'm glad I could do 18-year-old Starbreak's little idea full justice. ^-^
I seriously appreciate everyone's patience waiting for the next big thing, thank you guys so much so much for sticking around while I tackle IRL matters and work on improving my creative process, it genuinely means the world to me. ^-^
I'm planning on handing off part of the video making process to others going forward so I can just focus on the music. I still want to do a lot for my channel in the way of art and visuals but if I'm going to keep it fun and stress-free so that I can actually finish projects, I think putting all my focus on the music alone should help a lot.
That said, this is the first visualizer for my music made by my talented friend JackoCD! We already started getting to know each other earlier this year, so he was an absolute joy to work with on this, and he definitely knows more about video making than me, lol.

Truth be told, aside from this song, I have quite a few projects that got stuck in "half-finished limbo" last year, and then after starting college classes I've struggled to better my workflow enough to revisit and finish them. I plan on trying to tackle the rest over the rest of the year, so I'll keep y'all posted on that! For now though, thank you SO much for 10k subs, all the support you've given me, and being a community I'm genuinely proud of. All of you deserve the best. 💙
