GWF Install

เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 16 ก.ย. 2012
This is the last work trailer that I will have to do!! I had had it build by ITB out of Coaldale with the help of Vince.
Having this Mobile Woodshop I'm able to build anything I did with my shop from before, but allows me to go any where I want to for projects. I do complete fireplace installs for Hearth and Home Fireplace, build custom cabinetry, mantles, kitchens & baths, and any general carpentry all from the convenance of the Mobile Woodshop
Using Festool allows me to build cabinets and do woodworking in my trailer

Why the annoying music?
Still learning how to edit videos and music, it’s not made of wood
After you cut the panel with the track saw, you reposition the door and run the router down that edge. What's the purpose of that, and how do you ensure you don't mess with the final dimension you're seeking on the door?
I run the router down the edge to clean up the little chips from the saw so it is a perfect edge to add the edge tape to. As for the sizing I cut the door to finished size with saw and router takes off amount for edge tape so when I finish the edging I’m back to finish size.
Nice demo of your festool system. What product is the the panel and edgebanding?
I got it from Richelieu, it’s Zenit Panel - Black Z10 and Zenit Edgebanding - Black Z10
Sounds like Burl Ives.
Thanks no one told me that yet
Is that the Veritas scraper you’re using? If so how do you like it
Yes it’s the Veritas flush plane and I spent some time getting it nice and sharp with the Woodpecker’s sharping system
Brilliant. Great mounting and Engineering.
Thanks I got the idea from a video I watched and my client loved the idea so away I went
That's beautiful! Awesome work!
Thanks I appreciate it, the hinges were the hardest part.
Love it!
Thanks! It was a fun project to work on.
Brilliant idea, using a van as a workshop. Cheaper than an extension.
Thanks, I like that it can go any where and have all my tools I need
Nice jig, but you need to secure it more. It's visibly moving as you route.
@@kryptik0 yes I need the make the stops in the back bigger for small pieces, most of the time the shelves are held with a vacuum clamp and that works much better
When a professional does something it sure looks easy…. The tools don’t hurt…. :)
Thanks I do have a few years of practice now
Fantastic build! This is inspiration!
Thanks I appreciate it and hope the you find it useful
Absolutely phenomenal!! How did I not see this before. Been dreaming of something like this. 👌👌
This was a dream of mine for quite a few years, So when I was thinking about getting a shop I didn't like the idea of it sitting empty when I was on site, So I started planning what would be a perfect mobile shop and I came up with this!! Im glad to see you like it, I really enjoyed designing it and getting the structure built the way I needed to work with my needs and wants. Let me now if I can help you with yours
Como se dice badass. Extra credit if that's in a trailer.
Thanks, Yes Im working out of a trailer it is very cozy
What an awesome video, I am looking at a 442 and was wondering if the forks were worth it. Too funny, I have some bricks and cinder blocks I need to move when I get the machine. Thanks for sharing!!!
Thanks, they cost me about 4K but that is so worth it, what year of 442 you looking at getting I love mine and having the forks are a game changer
@@gregfraser3852 2003, 1700 hours, great condition.
Nice work to reduce the bit size
Thanks I didn’t like the pins falling out and that seamed to be the easiest fix
This is very impressive! May I know how big is the space ?
The inside is 8'1"wide x 8'1"high x 22'long or 2.464m x 2.464m x6.706m and it is heated by a Espar diesel heater and 12vlt led lights
@@gregfraser3852 thanks!
I was wondering as well. Thanks
Another nice example of taking the upfront time to make the jig that saves the back time. Thanks.
Yes I like to take the time to make the jigs, I’ve been making a few lately to make this cabinet project easier
Awesome
Thanks, I’m planning some changes to make it better you have any ideas
Been looking at ideas for a router fence for an diy mft/router table & just when I thought I couldn't learn any more tricks for an mft I come across your channel. Especially the drill to raise and lower the lift to change bits. Well done mate!
Thanks I find that ever day I find new ways if making projects easier, when I’m done this cabinets I’m planning some changes to the table
What's that tool called?
The clamp is Festool SYS VAC, power trimmer is Festool MFK 700, Veritas flush plane
@gregfraser3852 thank you
@@dustinc9394 no problem
Good job!
Thanks
You're now coming up on my recommended videos
Sweet
Amazing
Thanks
Excellent use of space
Thanks Im trying to improve the efficiency all the time and finding the space works great
Awesome setup! I wish I could do the same but with our area (Washington DC/DMV area) it would be all but impossible to park this even remotely close to the job. Hard enough to find parking for a truck let alone a trailer. I’m saying I’m jealous lol
@@chieftainarms thanks I’ve been lucky with parking but there has been a few times that I couldn’t get close to job
That I’m looking forrrrr 🎉🎉🎉🎉
is it the table saw attachment you want to see ?
Awesome mobile workshop! I look forward to more of your content!
Thanks I’m planning more on the folding table
@gregfraser3852 I look forward to seeing that!
I really see where forks are a great advantage for work around a sawmill or construction site. I want to get a SSQA adapter for my Takeuchi TB260 so I can use attachments I already have. Good job on the video.
Thanks the videos are all new to me but I'm getting help with them, yes the forks have been great around the yard!!

@@ASMRekt thanks I’m looking forward to the time that he start making projects, I’ll add some latches and locks! I’ll do an update
Brilliant!!!
Thanks I was using a prototype for about 5 yrs and I just had time to build the new one with the aluminum and what a difference
Cute dog... Nice chair!!!
Thank you! 😊
no old men where injured during the making of this video.
😂 glad my dad is safe
Yes he is safe and sound :)
These chairs look fantastic, and they probably smell great too!! Do you offer a smaller version for those of us with smaller frames?
These ones where our 1st go and we are planning different sizes, thank for asking and yes the smell is great working on them
Nice work there Greg! Loving these videos.
Thanks my buddy is helping me with them now he is great with a computer
nice job. did you use a stain on it?
No not yet just got through the milling of all the parts
Love the design of chair.
thanks I find them very comfortable
Great job on the chair. Beautiful view of the river
Thanks
This is an awesome shop, even if it wasn't mobile to boot.
Thanks I’ve been really starting to enjoy it now that I’m getting it the way I feel it will work the best
Thanks the new table sure works great
You've made ton's of changes since I last worked in there. Looks fantastic!
Thanks Austin yes the table is a big change
Thanks, Greg for introducing me to Kaizen, changed my life!
Your welcome, I’ve helped a few people now to extent the life of there tools, it takes some time to do but its worth it
Nice matching ear protection! 0:15
Yes I got lucky with them
Wow!
Thanks !
Looks great
Thanks
Very nice setup!
Thanks it’s starting to come together nicely now
I don’t see many new tools since we did the 27 boutique project in Calgary lol. You are a great teacher and always worth listening to. I have learned lots from watching you. Look forward to following you.
Thanks, I think the new table with router and table saw attachment are the only new things
