No this is all with no filters. I also have a mini2 and an Avata1. I have filter for mini2 only, O use them in bright days, honestly I'm not sure you need them on Neo. I would prefer to lower the sharpening instead, but you can only to that with RC (that I don't have, and unfortunately rc-n1 of mini2 is not compatible, yet... DJI?)

It's likely due to the speed, as far as I've undestood so far... I was skiing very slowly but as soon as I tried to speed up a little, he stopped, switching to spotlight. This means that he could still track me, but gave up due to firmware limitation! We need to push on dji support and forum to improve it..

No ho preso la versione base, perchè ho anche un Avata1 con Integra e Motion2, spero davvero che DJI li renda compatibili. Senza dubbio con RC, guidando il drone la velocità aumenta. In altri video sul mio canale vedrai dei follow verso amici fatti guidando il drone con il motion... decisamente meglio... ma se vuoi un drone che ti segue in autonomia penso che l'unica soluzione ad oggi sia l'Hover Air X1 Pro (Max). Non ho visto video decenti nemmeno con Air3s o Mini4pro in follow sulla neve... E poi vediamo il Flip quado esce..

@@alextan75 grazie per info, il NEO con RC già ce l'ho, devo solo trovare una giornata senza troppa gente in pista per fare le prove, ma andando i weekend sarà dura 😅

@@alextan75 They won't update it that much. Will they make a more capable auto follow drone? I still have doubts they'd unlock that much performance on auto.

I was at 1600m. The battery lasts about 10 min. I have only 1 battery but I recharge it in my pocket with a powerbank.

thanks for commenting, I agree that HoverAir performs better, I saw some videos. I did more tests in my new video here th-cam.com/video/Ot5DZtGCrGs/w-d-xo.html However, as Neo can fly much faster than 30 km/h I really hope that DJI comes up with a firmware update that improves following and tracking performance at least up to 50 km/h. I also want compatibility with motioncontroller2, integra, rc-n1.

@@alextan75 Yah, I have the Avata 2 and main reason why I got the NEO so that I can use my goggles, motionRC and FPV RC with it, thats the great thing about the NEO but the tracking and speed and accuracy is not comparison to the HoverAir. Also, I travel quite often so the folding HoverAir plays a important part for me in terms of portability. The original X1 is awesome, still love it and it's the smallest of the three. Even at 2.7K, it still tracks well and gives good footage.

I did some basic stuff and its already blown the Neo away. Also helps spotting it as its black against a white back ground. Will try with the beacon tomorrow when it’s quieter. Might upload preliminary footage this evening.

Yes but this is a firmware limitation l, the drone itself can go faster as it does in fpv, if dji wants to improve tracking capability, he can do it.

@@SEKILEFPV i agree and I haven't seen good videos by mini4pro as well. I also have pocket 2 which allowed me to make the best skiing videos

@alextan75 yes true. I just want to say , i am flying fpv drones for 15 years and still for some shots human do better job. But also must say for 200$ drone it is amazing how it works, for sure i will get one for fun. Cheers man

For me the big problem is the speed... He loses you at 20 km/h... And if you don't connect the phone before taking off, it's a problem to get it back to you.

I want to see some test with hover, I know there Is also a specific kit for skiing, i expect in follows better and at higher speed. Anyway the neo might do better with a firmware update... But I think dji will do better with dji flip...

its double the price to so what would you expect? the Avata would do a better job than the Neo too and isnt that big.

Well, i do. In Italy you can where allowed by Enac/EASA. I fly where not crowded far from other people and with insurance. Of course you must follow local regulations. This was my first test in follow on the slopes, and i'm not happy with It, the Neo loses you at a very low speed

I ordered one to take to verbier this Christmas..I'm glad Amazon messed up the delivery as having experienced the Swiss I'm 100% sure I'd be in trouble!

@Muschietta19 purtroppo si. Devo ancora fare test più approfonditi ma non sembra adatto a seguire sulle piste al momento. Consiglio di tenerlo connesso al Cellulare in modo da riportarlo a casa se necessario, ma senza allontanarsi troppo...
