    No. H2 is a dead end street. H2 storage either low temperature with higher energy density or ambient temperature low density remains a real problem.

    Hydrogen cars ok when will we be able to charge at home like EVs when that happens you have a winner, this will never be aloud to happen charging at home is why EVs will be the true winner, the system hates that we can charge from home from our own panels, hard to tax it, hydrogen is wanted by car makers so they can keep bulging engines , the oil industry wants to supply hydrogen the government wants to tax enjoy taxing at the pumps , so as I see it hydrogen is a bad idea all-round 👍

    Fill a Toyota Murai in California $180 for 300 miles of range if you can find a working H2 dispenser. p.s. This Hydrogen is made from fossil fuels and delivered by diesel trucks

    hydrogen cars don't make sense. hybrids do. but nothing makes more sense than hydrogen trucks. thats where the technology shines when u have a very heavy vehicle and want a range of 2000km-5000km. its almost impossible as of now to get such range with ev

    • @yosemiteanemone4714
      @yosemiteanemone4714 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The problem is energy density for the storage. Stored hydrogen is way lower than batteries in that area. This makes it a worse choice for large vehicles like ships and trucks.

    • @jjamespacbell
      @jjamespacbell 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Low energy density by volume would require a trailer full of hydrogen-filled tubes instead of cargo.

  • @rogerfroud300

    Why is anyone asking this question any more? It's obviously inferior to BEVs in every way. Let me spell it out. The end to end efficiency of the Hydrogen system, including the production, storage, transport and conversion back to electricity is one third that of a BEV. It's complex and expensive to use Hydrogen as a fuel, period. What else do you need to know? It will never compete.

    • @macberry4048
      @macberry4048 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Batteries have won but the people pushing hydrogen are serious about forcing people to use the technology whether you want to or not and sometimes you won't know. Hydrogen as a generator for charging stations and fuel for emergency vehicles are two ideas floating around right now if you pay enough attention

    • @ac-stingz
      @ac-stingz 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@macberry4048 still doesn't make sense.. the key is where the hydrogen is coming from, unlike gasoline, hydrogen is just a carrier which doesn't come naturally with energy in usable form. Why not use the energy source to directly power the charging stations, rather than convert the energy into hydrogen to power the charging station? May be a passable idea for remote locations with limited power supply, but for established or urban locations...... why?

    The problem with hydrogen technology at this time is electrolysis is too slow for mass production. There are other ways to produce it faster but at this time it isn't green. I do think hydrogen can supplement EV's. To me solar electric might be the best alternative. As battery and solar tech continue to improve the better it will be.
