It's fair to say that we were only here co-creating with the original founding members of P-Funk because those Gifted Black Folks invited us to do so, just FYI. This was at a pro-songwriter's retreat last month.

@@SEDMELLO my people are from Aztec and Mayan tribes in Latin America, modern day Colombia and Honduras. for what it's worth, I have knowledge of SELF. and I personally cling to my Creator by faith as an ambassador of light, love, truth and hope. Of course I'm going to challenge your misinformation with facts. You can tell me whatever you want about "my people" but what you choose to project onto me says more about you than it does about what's true, or where I come from. Also, I agree with the idea that there are wicked, false and destructive forces we're battling in this spiritual warfare. First a man gets KNOWLEDGE, which is knowledge of self. Then he gets WISDOM, which is the reflection of that knowledge. Then he gets UNDERSTANDING, which is the power to act on wisdom. With understanding he sees that he has FREEDOM from ignorance which means he has free will. But freedom operates under a law: the law of JUSTICE. That means I’m free to smack you in your face, but justice applies: there will be a reward or penalty for my actions. Therefore, I must deal with EQUALITY, because all men are created equal. By showing equality to one another we’re activating freedom, justice, and equality. Now, those are all the things that build a man’s character. And after you attain them, you’re able to strive for FOOD, CLOTHING and SHELTER0 which have both physical and mental significance. Food is nourishment, shelter is a home, and clothing is protection. But mental & spiritual sustenance comes from the tree of life: wisdom, science, history, and nourishment for your mind. Mental clothing is how you carry yourself: the way you move and speak. If you have clothed yourself in righteousness, even adorned in filthy rags you preserve your dignity. And mental shelter is the mind’s protection from the evil atmosphere: the lies and corruption of the outside world. You have to strive for them, prepare yourself for them. But after you attain the first nine, that’s when you can attain LOVE, which is the highest elevation of understanding, either between two people or between all members of humankind. And after you attain love, then you have PEACE, and finally you get LASTING JOY: total and complete satisfaction with your place in the universe. If you’re completely satisfied within the identity assigned to you by your Creator, nobody can take that away from you. Peace to you.

Glad you caught that original reference track! Yep, spot on. I believe the individual leading vocals on this one, "Thurteen"/Thurtdelic is family of the OG George Clinton. And we were jamming at one of several stages available for open participation at the Music Master's Collective camp in the Catskills, NY last month. The name of this stage is the Yurt stage, hence the terminology being blended into this jam. Thanks again!

Who you talkin' to! I was in my first year of high school when I was listening to Parliment's Funkentelechy vs The Placebo Syndrome on 8 track! That was the FIRST one I could afford and my sister had EVERYTHING from The Brides of Funkenstein to Fred Wesley and the Horn Horns on top of that! Believe me … I hear you. I am neither rich, nor retired, nor a boomer. I was unable to afford attending as well. I personally consider myself grateful and lucky to know someone who went who was willing to share this rendition of FOTM. Hope you enjoy the OG Grateful Dead catalog in contrast to your experience of this one. Figured I’d share freely what was freely passed along to myself - I seem to enjoy the music even if my eyes are closed and that’s always a strong indicator for myself. Peace to you though! ✌🏽✌🏽

@@jellojoe00 - would be awesome if people would be quiet and enjoy the music but of course in a live setting, this is to be expected, so many people treat the occasion like a party scene and the music is secondary for them. even online, people seem to have a hard time parsing out the music from all the other variables to focus on or complain about. hope you find whatever it is you’re looking for 🙏🏽
