With the in vehicle malfunction coming up, is there a way to erase that without having to update it? The dealership unplugged my head lamp for me cause it was throwing all my codes and im able to drive it now but because it's unplugged I have this in vehicle malfunction on my dash

Just had my 2012 Sorento engine replaced. They kept it about a week. I made sure I changed the oil and all recalls at the dealership. My complaint was that the engine light was on but I knew what code was showing. Thanks for the video.

If I had this recalled preformed and my E brake actuator is basically seized would that indicate the recall wasn't preformed properly as that is what the recall is supposed to address. I have a little play can move it with a lot of force but not enough for the cable to pull and the spring to pull back the lever.

I might be wrong, but I'm surprised that the procedure doesn't call to use compressed air to put positive pressure in the cylinder to hold the valve closed while you do that.

SOO glad my 2015 Mazda 6 does NOT have a turbo, and quite frankly it doesn:t need one! It has PLENTY of power without sacrificing reliabilty 😛 Keep em comming Mike I"m a subscriber and like all your stuff (except the firebird vids ) !

I did mine myself without experince. It went fine. I will say you have to make sure to get the updated version of the coolant valve. Mazda made a new version of it. And remember there are different one for automatic gear. Good look

Currently waiting to have my 2016 Sorrento Engine replaced under the program. In the video you mentioned that the customer paid to have a new upper and lower radiator installed which seems prudent. Is there anything else that should be replaced while the engine is out? My engine had 130K at failure.

My Hyundai engine went before 100k. Showed them the oil change receipts and Boom new engine. Got a car to use while waiting was less than a week. Will keep buying the brand because you're covered up to 125k miles now. Just do your oil changes that simple.

This is how tutorials should be! Get right to the work! Also, some of those airbag panels can be removed without cutting. The end needs to be rotated and it will slide out. Requires strong fingers and determination. Cheers!

Excellent video, thank you! I’ve watched your turbocharger swap as well 👍🏻 Have you been able to confirm that the oil consumption was reduced (or eliminated) after this seal update was completed? I haven’t been able to find other owners on forums that have confirmed that this resolved their consumption issues (at least not yet… might be early days still). I don’t have smoke on a cold start, other than moisture vapor for a few minutes then it stops. I have had the low oil sensor trigger the CEL though after 5,200kms just recently… and the dipstick was just shy of the low mark. I do my oil changes every 5,000km to keep fuel dilution minimal (I never wait a full 8,000km which is Mazda’s spec)…. and even though the oil level has always gone down between oil changes since we got the car, I was surprised to see it go down to nearly full low this last interval. I suppose the seals could be getting slowly worse over time. I’m contemplating getting this seal update done. We’re currently at 66,800km.

Just got through replacing the clutch on my 2015. It wasn't too bad, even with minimal tools and just the service manual. Hardest part for me was breaking the lower control arms loose. I don't think they had been ever been removed, so it was a bear.

This video is what I was looking for! On my MazdaCX-5 2021 turbo the oil light came on in 2021 and begging of 2022 around 4000-4500 miles. After Easter of 2022 the light did not show up anymore. It might be because Mazda added more oil when regular maintenance was performed or the problem disappear?

I just did this job on my daughter’s 2019 cx-5 and it went well but was a pain.

Thx for the thorough video. I fixed the drain tubes. What would you recommend if my manufacturer doesn’t make a replacement seal? I have an Infiniti fx35 and they don’t sell the sunroof seal.

Great video, I came upon this because my 2021 CX5 CE Turbo fuel gauge is stuck on full. We fueled car a few days ago and have run a little over 100 miles so far. Guessing the fuel sending unit is bad? Car is over 3 years old so no warranty left. Have not heard or seen any issues with fuel gauge problems on 21’s so guess I’m lucky.

My Mazda3 turbo and it only had 6,000 km on it and the oil light came on. I Thought it was because of my driving habits so I did the oil myself. 2 years later it started consuming 1 litre of oil every 1,200 km so I knew something was wrong 😭 so I got that tsb done.

Thanks for sharing, it's sad that car manufacturers copy each other bad and poor choices when it comes to repairs, although Japanese makers are easier to work on vs Europeans.

A turbo actuator needing to be repaired on a 2020 seems wayy too soon for that to go out
