I tried my Pegasus Trail 5's today, very happy with grip and stability in the dry on roads and dry trails, more comfortable than my Pegasus 41's so I think these will be my go to shoe for most my training now.

I love it. it really needs to break in!

How do they do on gravel?

Is it good for running 10k daily?

Would you recommend this as a daily trainer or should I consider the Hyperion 2? (Not the max)

V1 are my all time favorite. V2 were alright, felt they were more like nimbus 25's, (which are still a great shoe). Like the look of the V3's, but not sure if i'll bite the bullet.

I’m a bit confused by this review. Only 1 of the items is for running, and it’s marketed as a trail running tight at that. Why not buy a couple actual Rabbit running items yourself and review them? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Is zoom fly5 comparable to this shoes?

Wish toebox was little wider, same to you speed goats. I don’t really want the wide version of shoes is in their wide everywhere. Just wanted to tow box of water the Merrill just take it same thing with the speed goes probably they take my big toe and they’re narrow on that side of the shoe for me and I put on running shoe I don’t wanna be able to feel my toes in here at all against the material but that’s me. I’m an old stubborn runner at 62 now , good video

It is a more narrow shoe for narrow feet like me

I get shin splints like .5 miles in and these feel pretty good

Great review! I have a question, Im not actually a runner; I'm looking to buy new Asics shoes that will be great for every day wear. I currently have the gel nyc model which is more of the nostalgic running style and while i do enjoy wearing them I'm looking to buy a new model that will provide more overall support and greater level of cushioning with an emphasis on overall foot support.. Could you suggest a model you think could work for me? Thanks!

Just a comment bro - I was trying to have a look at the shoe but you were waving it around with your hand so much it was impossible to follow. Just put the shoe down :) and then talk with your hands as much as you want.

Great review! Did a recovery run today and the shoe felt great, the shoe does feel like it wants to go faster but I don't have issues with that. Have been using it for all my training runs for a HM. To anyone on the fence about buying a shoe go to a store and try it first.

Thanks for talking about the turn over half tights, I have 2 pairs of reggie's i got 2 years ago, however the one single pocket in the back i'm not a huge fan of on race day because it's only big and useful enough only for my license and keys. I know you said you didn't have any issues with gels, I read on TS site someone said they lost half of their gels bouncing out, I'm still trying to figure out how that happened, and that's my only concern with them.

Do you know if the heel to toe stack is 40/35mm or 33/38mm? I’ve seen both listed by Diadora

I finally found a pair my size in a store. It was like a miracle. I haven’t run far in them yet. But now that I have them I question if they are seriously a necessary shoe in anyone’s rotation. A do it all shoe never belongs in any rotation. It just wouldn’t make sense. Also all that foam makes any other running shoe feel ridiculous. Not trying to be negative.

How does it compare to the Superblast 2?

Overall, I'm digging the shoe. I use it as the training partner for the SkyP. Definitely a road shoe; does not work off the tarmac at all. I think the plate is carbon-infused, but I could be wrong. I'm too light (63 kg) to feel the Blast+ puck in the forefoot, and I'm a mid-to-forefoot striker. It started off stiff, but after 33 clicks, it's softening up. Otherwise, I've been enjoying it so far.

I’m really like this shoe. I was worried about how stiff the plate is, but they started a bit after 20-30 miles which I enjoy.

Never tried it on until yesterday but it definitely has a nice step in feel. It’s on my short list to consider.

Took mine on 11 miles yesterday, would be happy to take it to half distance. Runs great like really really great much better than I was anticipating, there is some ground feel in the forefoot but it’s not jarring or harsh and tends to be more notable on slower paces with a longer ground contact. Finally feel like Nike have gotten something right. Heavier runner just over 6ft avg weight around 195-200lbs

Wouldn’t your calves be feeling good after wearing a 10mm drop? Higher drop = less tension through the calf and Achilles. That’s just my personal experience anyway in 10mm drop shoes.

But do you think it is a good shoe for long distance training, with what you have already experienced?

Currently use brooks glycerin 21 for weight lifting and incline cardio so I need comfortable shoes. Do you think these are a bing upgrade. I need comfortable but also long lasting

Without doubt, that is the best looking colour way on a running shoe in 2024. It’s expensive, but clearly Asics have struck gold once again. Such a great asset to their line up. Excellent review by the way!

Nice review, qucik question. I have a pair of nimbus 25s and like them only problem is u cant really pikc up the pace with them and they are a bit heavy. I cop alot of punishment on my legs from muay thai training and still need that cushion for slow long runs as well as being able to pick up the pace. Would this be a good option?

Is it true to size? Not many stockists on Aus so run the risk of buying it without trying for that price 😮

Firstly, I’m really glad to see TH-cam finally giving smaller channels our shine. A year ago, my whole feed and recommended videos would be nothing but big channels with hundreds of thousands/millions of subscribers and no matter how good a video we make, we’d get like 1 view. They finally made things balanced again. Anyways, on to my real comment. Me being a relatively new runner who hasn’t experienced new running shoes for 18 years and going right into three pairs of stacked shoes. The sole stack height of these shoes felt good and right to me right out of the box. It was nothing I had to get used to, I adapted immediately. It was jarring in a good way, to remember what I use to wear while running in the military and the comfort of what I’m wearing now. Running shoes have come a long way.

Such an interesting shoe. If reserved for only the fastest workouts and/or races it’s all good. Such an unnatural feel on the feet will mean that prolonged use will weaken your natural foot strength and condition - Personally I stick to zero drop and cushion shoes for 90% of training. Keep those feet strong !
