This composition of Rabindranath Tagore, Borisho Dhora Majhe Shantiro Bari, is a prayer for world peace. The poet urges that the earth be showered with the rain of peace. He visualises a world where there is no jealousy, no deceit, no darkness, no violence, no unwanted attraction, no sorrow and no repentance. He implores that LOVE be showered everywhere and on each one. The poet is convinced that LOVE alone can melt the stoniest of hearts and drench this thirsty mankind with deep peace.
This presentation on Tagore's composition is aesthetically woven with Indian Classical Music (Raag Bhairavi) and Dance. It explores a transcultural fusion of Indian Classical dance forms inspired by Indian temple sculptures and Mughal court dances.
