Hi quick question how did you know to put the values of 2x and 1-x in the equation because I thought you could only put the concentrations. So wouldn't you have to work out concentration? 1:44
You don't need concentrations here as there are equal numbers of moles on each side of the chemical equation so if you put the volumes in to calculate the concentration there would be equal amounts of the same volume on the top and bottom of the expression and they would cancel out. The moles don't cancel as they aren't all the same number but since the volume is the same for each this cancels and you can use moles instead. You can spot this when Kc has no units this will be the case.
