If you watch the other videos you will notice that I stayed at the double tree in Vitacura. Did a video on the upper side titled my first impressions of Santiago Chile left me speechless Have a good day
Even though you're not from this area, you're completely wrong. You stayed at a hotel in Las Condes, on Vitacura Ave, which at that point is located on the border between Las Condes and Providencia.
@@Vichogajardo thank you for taking the time to leave a comment but am not about to get into a back and forth about geographical locations, you are correct about one thing I live in the states. My Chilean friends took me all around town they left me with a great impression of the Chilean people
You didn't start in Vitacura. You started walking from the beginning of Providencia. Vitacura is an up scale part of Santiago, with a big park called Bicentenario. Providencia is a beautiful municipality with many squares and parks, but you just showed one of the many big and busiest avenues that do not represent the rest of Providencia, which is very elegant and family friendly.
@@franciscahammerschlag4103 there is the video titled my first impressions where I started from Vitacura proper I appreciate your comment
Dowtown of Santiago has more delinquency, not Providencia. We do have African decendance people up north. The African decendants you see in most of the Chilean cities are from HaitÃ, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and Colombia. Immigrants coming to Chile are seeking better opportunities to work and send money to their families.
@@franciscahammerschlag4103 I definitely appreciate the insight . Itâs the same problem everywhere and the citizens are getting resentful of the immigrants

Liked the video brought back nice memories. You walked from Vitacura to Providencia with Pedro de Valdivia. That is considered the new downtown of Santiago. As you saw there is always a lot of people on the part of the city. In general Santiago is a city with theft issues, so that is why people have told you to be careful. They donât want you to have a bad experience. I wouldnât call this a dangerous part of the city itâs actually quite nice and busy. It is just not common practice to walk around with expensive equipment in your hand for all to see (that is considered risky) you are attracting attention of potential thieves. If you would keep walking down Providencia street you would reach the traditional downtown. Is it dangerous in daytime? Not necessarily you just need to be careful with your valuables. Hope you enjoyed yourself.

Providencia is thwname of main street and also the municioality of. This area is not *_risky_* as you bad intentionally wrote on titles. Well, tou are free ro have your own opinion about a city. I live in Santiago, i can tell you this city is one of the best ones in South America and im very grateful to have been born here. I live in the 'poor' zone tho, on the occidental part in Maipu. There has been a major problem lately with illegal immigration and robberies, but the government and city mayors have made an amazing job with helping the police and created some sort of 'light police' wich has no guns but patrols neighborhoods and generally does a nice job keeping criminals away. I love Santiago!! It also has one of the best Subway and Public Transport Systems in the world, being better than most of north american cities and european cities.
