Just love that Fijian singing, I used to go to Methodist service in Suva on Sundays with my expat mate, who was also a lay preacher, he lectured at USP for many years, Fijian church singing is one of the finest in the Pacific. A young dashing Prince Charles too, riding in a humble Holden Kingswood, now that's a sight!. Beautiful collection of Fijian memories. I can remember Levuka being very "colonial" with the grand buildings too. Thanks Wing, well done.

I grew up in levuka town when Ping used to own the shop opposite Youngyet. I loved their milk and cake after Mass on sundays and also their pink ice blocks. Winglee used to be beside the liberty theatre. How can forget the smell of the Liberty theatre canteen ...huge serves of icecream. My Mom used to take tickets in the front. My Dad were pioneers of the PAFCO. YEs girls used to board in Marist Convent Primary those days and they were beautiful indeed. My Aunt worked at LPS for sometimes...Luisa Powell

Very well presented, my husband grandfather was the gardener in the school, his name was Charlie.

Bula Wing Kang and vinaka vaka levu for this well put together clip of our beloved Levuka and the Levuka Public School which I attended 1956- to the end of 1960. I heard through an email from your sister Elayne this morning and I find myself here now at this time and I got here through Irish music!!amazing how the day starts and progresses taking you places you are supposed to be at this very time. I was Bernadette Pyster and my dad the Police Officer in Charge at that time. I see many of my classmates and families in this beautiful clip like Jock Sword, Rosalind Rosa Pratt, Deborah Whippy Bowring, Vani Serukalou and Elayne of course and your family. In the past 50 years and only recently for some we have caught up in different adopted countries that we now find ourselves living in and the remeeting is very emotional as we have a BOND!! Lots of talanoa, singing eating and dancing, we still ROCK!! In passing I think the song by Celtic Women "How can I keep from singing" is an old Quaker song circa I don't know but we have sung it in church in Australia since I came here in 1969. Thanks again and keep well Wing Kang and lolomas to the Fijiites I know in NZ who you see from time to time.

Thank you Wing Kang for posting the 2004 Reunion. I do remember you and your sister Elayne. I think Elayne and I were in the same class before I left LPS at the end of the 1962 school year to attend Suva Grammar. But LPS remains the best memories of my school life. I also recognised several students in the video namely Joe Browne, Debra Whippy, Dorothy Kaad Rosaline Rosa and Charlie Mcgoon to name a few. Unfortunately I have not attended any past LPS reunions but your videos have being a joy to watch. Hopefully some day I may be able to travel back to Fiji to attend one of the reunions.
