Open valves electrically by means of electrical step engines and mechanism so that oil gets in the cylindric housing and presses the piston in = wheels inwards . Open the valves so that the oil can get out the cylindric housing so that wheels come out ..
Do you have any CAD files of your XP-67 project? I am collecting the various files available online in anticipation of building an 85" to 90" CNC milled r/c model using electric power and retracts. Thank you in advance for your reply to: scaleaero@gmail.com
ET, I made flap tracks with curved slots in a hard material. The tracks were attached to the ribs and uses a torque tube to push the flaps out. There are music wire pins that slide on the tracks. I'm experimenting with different materials but the basic idea works.
Old or not, looks like fun and seemed to fly great. I have a dynamax and an 0s.77 still waiting for me to build the f18 my wife bought me about 20 years ago!
@OJpilotboy Yes, I put up the video to encourage someone to build a Cessna retract. I haven't done any drawings or gone beyond what you see here, so if you get something working please put a video up for us to enjoy. Paul
Can you send me a PM with Mr Mc Cauleys business information. I'm looking for someone to build my 1/5 scale (17inch) Landing gears for I project Im working on. I appreciate any assistance in this matter. Great job on those LG's...Joe
Yes, I'm loafing...... By the way, when do you need me to come and help install the B-58 gear? A big C-119 would be great. I'm in! Do you think we could get Bob to do the mold? Tell him we're doing the version with jets. Haha
Hi everybody, This is the final version of the Thunderchief nosegear, the wheel is too small but it will be replaced. Also there is no spring installed, and the air system only had 40 pounds of air for the demo. Should look good in the plane. I'm on the way to see Bob to get this installed! Paul
I always thought that would make a great EDF. I used to live near Beale AFB in California and loved to watch this and the SR-71 fly around all the time. One of my favorite planes. I love the slow landing!
Very noice excited to see it
We are going to have a good time! Cant wait to see the Stearman!
@@ps2727 yup it is coming along I’m getting really excited
She moves nice and easy!
Beautiful!!
Amazing job!!she is absolutely gorgeous!!!

Brilliant!
Very excellent!
Fantastic work!
Most excellent!
Great looking model. Have you made the bigger one yet?
Not yet, I have a few projects to finish up first!

What scale is this?
Horrible sound.
Do you also make smaller scale?
It is 1/7 scale, trying to leave you a message but unable
can I mail you?
That is really cool. Just like the real thing
hi any new developments on this retracts, i am building a rc model and will like to set it with retracts thanks. camilo

How did you do this... care to elaborate? torque tubes? Im trying to outfit an A-10
Yes it flew very well, Don't see many ic ducted fans these days. They still work!

OS 91/Dynamax This is an old video!!
Great! What size and make motor and fan are you running?

Thanks John Lets go visit Bob soon!
Sweet work on the gear Paul. You will have to come up to Bob's sometime soon. Take it easy. - John
Thanks for the update, Learning alot from your vids. When will you have a chance to build my gears? LOL

Thanks!!
Awesome stuff, sharp pencil! :-D
...looks like there will be no issues raising the gear there...genius engineering!
it:s just to check clearances with a scale sized wheel it will get a rubber tire soon
Yes, otherwise known as theB-57!
@ps2727 :-)

Is this undercarriage setup for a Canberra bomber..??
Nice one their Paul..Keep up the top notch engineering :):)
Hello Grad, nice work there. Send me a message and we can visit. Paul
Looks great but the tailwheel needs to back a several inchs to be in the scale position!
I have a metal lathe and mill to make these units. It could be done with basic tools. Haven't done the mains yet. Paul
Awesome. Really good job. What sort of tooling was required to complete the project? Did you manufacture a set of mains for it too? Batcho99
Killer work, Paul!
Nice work Sharpie. I know Bob is waiting for you.

With the new EDF tech. it would be nice to see this plane come back.....Beautiful.....

John, Don't know how that one works.....is it like the Galaxy? Paul
