Ice Flow/Jam Footage
This is the second of two videos capturing the March 6, 2011 Wild Ammonoosuc RIver Ice Flow in Woodsville, NH. This video takes place at the intersection of route 112 with rt 302. This footage captures the ice flow transitioning from dynamic, mass movement of ice to a static, mass jam. This jam is due to the constriction of two bridges crossing the river channel. Eventually the river undermines the ice jam due to the hydraulic head upstream of the ice jam.

This video depicts the trackpad issue on the lenovo edge 13 AMD processor. The driver is up to date (11/21/2010).
Excellent timing and excellent camerawork. It's not often you find footage of incredible natural phenomena that doesn't look like utter garbage.
And you ever wonder how fish survived
By being under all that mess, I would assume.
Mais d’où ça vient?
new video?
When he was five I took my son over the falls in my lap, did a 180 and we hid behind the falls for a while. Don't try that at home please.
Can someone use AI to remove his commentary?
reminds me of watching the (already flowing) water-and-ice over the Cohoes Falls or the dam between Waterford and Cohoes during the spring melt!
That shits killing you everytime isn't it
He had all the words didn’t he
This is not Kevin MacLeod! 😠
Searching for "ice flow" and getting this 11 year old video as first hit. What's the state of youtube? Cool video thou =)

Yes…Release the River! -Treebeard
Wow! This is cool ann neat! The narrator has a deep voice for an 8 year old.
Wow this is fascinating, where I live this doesn’t happen so it’s exciting to watch thanks for uploading the video
I saw another video about this type of ice in Yosemite, it was called "frazil ice".
It's astonishing how at one point one side of the bridge is so dynamic and the other side so static.
The gentleman's powers of description are frikkin amazin': awesome. Holy shyte, incredible.
Wow, to be in the right place at the right time!
Nothing like Spring thaw & break up in the North country! A long awaited arrival. I live along the Upper Great Lakes( same thing, here).
The same is happening every spring in the rivers in Finland. Nothing unusual, but spectacular nonetheless. There's a small waterfall in the main river (Vantaa) flowing through Helsinki. Every spring when the ice start to move there is hundreds of people watching it from a bridge over the waterfall.
That’s actually pretty cool. Makes me think of a Tsunami for some reason 😂
Maravilhoso
That was slick.

Like a pahoehoe lava breakout.
I love how he still gets excited and is totally in awe of this event, even though he has clearly seen it happen enough to anticipate what will happen next. Made my heart smile. *The wonders of nature!!*
Can you imagine being a fish and having to somehow navigate through this ice jam like *_"Ah shit here we go again"._*
Not Cool for people down river!
I don’t think I ever saw one in person idk I lived in the mountains and remember the aftermath one year but not sure . Sucks getting old
Hey friend Alex, where are the new video's. Love from India.
Great video, stupid commentary!
Don't mind me, just re-reading all of "What If?"
Loved it, ty for sharing :)
Came from XKCD!!!
Is this trapped water that coming free when the ice melts? Or a downpour?
I remember this day clearly! I was catching icedams on the Winooski, Mad, and Lamoille River's this day. It was a surreal day to be out. The next morning we had 25 inches of new snow, and close to 3 feet when it was all said and done later that day!
1.25, 1.5, 1.75, and 2: Looks More Realistic
This is how you kill every fish in a river for miles.
Man if you get this excited over some ice, you really need to get laid.
