Assetto corsa, it's on PC and PS5 and maybe Xbox. Hands down the best racing sim on PC because of the outstanding modding community that makes it easy to use and play with friends. Assetto corsa Evo is also coming out soon and I'm very excited!

EVO is now less than a week away. Looking forward to my first look.

For wipers, you can map a keybind or set them to auto. In content manager, go to Settings -> Controls -> Patch and scroll down to Car (wipers) and assign keys or buttons to set your keybinds. Similarly, in content manager, go to Settings -> Custom Shader Patch -> WeatherFX and, in the Miscellaneous section, check Turn wipers on and off automatically to have them self-manage depending on the weather. For the rain, I'm using Custom Shader Patch 0.2.7-preview1, Pure 2.3.8, and have most graphics settings up pretty high. Note that CSP provides rain and snow, but Pure helps with the lighting and other visuals.

I enjoyed a lot of maps last year. I think my favorite were the Fat Alfie maps that weren't really new but were new to me. I also enjoyed the Japanese hillclimbs, the new Hamburg and Denmark maps by 4r, and my old favorites SRP, LAC, PCH, and the historic versions of my favorite race tracks. Glad you enjoyed watching and even more glad you found my vids inspiring. Thanks for watching and keep driving!

Not universally. Lake Louise took longer than Hamburg-Denmark-Sweden, Glencoe, and Glen Sheil all combined. Shutoko Revival Project, with the exception of loading in AI using CSP, also loads more quickly. Points to an optimization opportunity.

Yeah, but to be fair, it's a much older map. Probably isn't fully optimized the way some of the latest maps are. Still a fantastic drive.

​@@rt_clik i should have clarified that additionaly to lidar, one of the creators drives real targa florio circuit with cameras and scanners trapped on his car and these data are then used for the new rework.

It is pretty awesome. Custom Shader Patch v. 0.26_prerelease (weather) and Pure v. 2.38 (weather planner, light, clouds, etc.).

@rt_clik I wish I had a PC like the big dogs. I have an Xbox before x series. So I can definitely tell you it's changing really quickly.

Oddly, I've not played RaceRoom yet. I downloaded and began to configure it last week, but got distracted preparing for an LMU race. I'm mostly interested in the DTM and Super Touring content, but that's not free. Will likely explore it further after the New Year.

At least the off-tracks in LMU are fair...you have time to self-correct any time benefit prior to being given a penalty.

I run on triples...NeckFX don't work so well.

That's what I thought too.

Realized late that I drove the stage reverse. There was a problem with the mod, and only the first variation (what I drove) was fixable. I may revisit it. On driving the 550, I originally set out to drive the historic version of the Nürburgring in the 550, but the version of that car I have sounds terrible. Need to see if there is a better version before I drive it for a video.

Didn't try, but pretty sure it supports Pure / CSP weather. Make it snow!

It is the now-difficult-to-find RaceEssentials. The original author stopped working on the project to dedicate time to Sidekick, and RE got deleted from Race Department (now Overtake) as a result. He gave one guy permission to maintain it, and can be found through the AC forums at www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/raceessentials-v1-4-9.41103/. I tried Sidekick and didn't really like it...so continue to use this instead.

Thank you! After I asked, I decided to check the most downloaded UI apps available on RaceDepartment, found CMRT, which is a great overlay but more suitable for racing than free driving. Nevertheless, I’ll check out RE - it looks perfect for cruising in street cars!
