This guy accosted me randomly at my place of work to brag about this a couple months ago. He has no idea I was wearing a “where’s our skatepark” tee 15 years prior. I saw him rollerblading once. Haha.

I see this skatepark purely as a result of the skateboard community pushing for it. Idk who that guy is. Should of been Steve out there talking. Shout out to the Power Pad crew 🫡 miss y’all !

Five years? Perhaps for the pump-track but not the skatepark, lol. I'm beyond grateful to finally have this skatepark in our own backyard as it was long overdue....decades upon decades!! Myself as well as many other local Skaters, BMX and MTBers and other wheeled rollers who share the passion assisted during the 'general' layout design phase of both the skatepark and the pump-track. This transpired through several sessions with the park design/build crew from New-Line Skateparks (great people) well in advance of breaking ground. In addition to this, one of the local thrashers helped build this park with much love. He surely would have responded with more insight, accuracy and integrity. Cheers! SKATEBOARDING IS NOT A CRIME

Simply Delusional. I, myself, have only been skateboadring 7 or so years, and have grown up in North Bay. The All wheel park is a fine addition and a PERMANENTE skatepark has ALWAYS been needed here. We're greatful it's here now...but to say this process started 5 years ago when YOU kickstarted it, is delusional and self-absorbed. We (The skateboarding community of North Bay) have been asking infront of councel, and petitioning for a PERMANENTE CONCRETE skatepark for decades...not a year, not FIVE years. DECADES. D.E.C.A.D.E.S!!! Before you start taking clame and saying things are yours, and that they wouldnt have happened without your existence, I would highly suggest checking the sign located outside the park grouds, where it clearly DOES NOT state; "Sponsored by Marty, for (Son)! To say this process started and ended with you, is a joke, and extremely unsportsmanlike. It came from the right place in your heart, but you brought the wrong message. 👎

Sure, the pump track piece was Marty's vision. But there have been many people petitioning for a permanent skatepark for decades. I would pat you on the back, Marty, but you already have that covered.

The skateboarding community here in North Bay has been petitioning for this park for roughly 25+ years at this point. Whoever that dude is taking all the credit is seriously delusional lol. At least the park is done tho, but I'd suggest fact checking who you interview. Thousands of signatures, and an award winning documentary about the need for a skatepark in this city, were all a reality loooong before 5 years ago. But hey, if his ego needs it, i guess it needs it.

I am so grateful to you guys for doing this. I wish I could have been there to see this. I was living in florida the day the call came in. My now ex-husband, who was and still is a firefighter at that time, was called to go help, but he ended up not having to go. Thank God for my children's sake. That was a day that we will never, ever forget. It hits close to home for us because of our fallen firefighter brothers who were like brothers to us. Unless you're a firefighter or a firefighter's wife , it might be hard for you to understand the the bond we share with them, as i'm sure those who are married to a Police officer understand what i'm talking about. After all this time, the fact that our country is still doing things like this means so very much to me. To Americans. To firefighters and police officers everywhere!❤🙏
