Pray for us all Amen
Blessings for the souls of the Ugandan martyrs.
a magnificent celebration of our beloved martyrs! and a celebration of the faith of all of Africa!
This is a nonsensical discussion. I have heard preposterous bogus claims regarding “science” as a justification for accepting personality disorders that include, no less, affectations of retaining childhood toys and childhood dress, and views of their own inconsequential sexuality that nonetheless promotes the sociological reality of 98 percent of gays enthusiastically supporting a fictional privilege to exterminate inconvenient unborn life.

As a Black Mississippian Catholic I am so glad and proud for this day! God bless the Church in the Southand and Mother Mary hold up the Black Catholics who have held out in what is stlll mission territory for the Catholic and Apostolic Church! I am a beneficiary of the work, love and faith of the SVD and don't forget the Sisters of the Holy Spirit,!!! Southern Catholics, we holdin up Jesus blood stained banner!!

It’s hard to get hundreds of priests into one chasuble set so they probably told them to bring what you have from your church
Hi cardinal gregory
Beautiful! However, this video is putting too much emphasis on the ordained ministry. Congress started by a lay person, Daniel Rudd. There are examples throughout history that the laity had kept the Church alive!
WHAT ??? Why are they giving awards out their Job is that of helping people with their Faith and Beliefs I am Totally Confused on Why they think this is worth It the fact you helped someone is the only payment needed it’s just so sad so many can’t afford to eat yet they do this
Praying for all of them. What a sacrilege of the holy sacrifice of the mass.
“ the other side of the coin” Only ‘black/Afro-American’ in the congregation??? ABBA-Father speaks.. “My daughter , was it not enough to place you in a safe-place to live, work,to learn more about me?” “My daughter did I not answer your prayer?” It was you that requested to Learn more about Jesus Christ”.
Thank you for the opportunity to view other Blacks in Catholicism.
Converted April 23, 2022 , this weekend one year Anniversary April 23, 2023 … I’ve left the familiar …to being a black woman in a culture of generations of predominantly German farmers. Many times I’ve do my best to focus on Jesus so I may do His Will. Yes, many times I ask “What have I Done?!?”
What’s the difference between a Catholic and a “Black” Catholic? I bet it’s something about being a victim. . a hunch.

This channel appears to be dead. Are there any other channels or anything that speaks to black Catholics or at least don’t hold anti-black sentiments. It’s really, disappointing, as someone looking to come into the faith watching Catholic theologians and clergy complaining about “wokism” & denying obvious racism in the world.
Nice!
I must tell you that Black Catholic Messenger has been a GOD SEND as a black man coming into Full Communion with the Catholic Church next month. I wish that I knew other Black Catholics to talk about this stuff with in person in my area, but just sitting in on these virtual conversations are edifying and encouraging for now. God bless you all for the religious work you do for social justice for the sake of all of humanity🙏🏾

This is fun and beautiful! Keep it up guys! Praise God! Blessed Virgin Mother Mary pray for us!
As a Blasian let me say this: Many Blacks follow the whitemans catholic religion. But Blacks (not including me) are their own worst enemy. Allow me to explain why. Roman catholicism is a dirty peodophile religion and Blacks who follow it are dum and stupid. Research how the roman catholic church recommended that Blacks should be made slaves long before the protestant church did. As a matter of fact, the roman catholics tortured Blacks to death if they refused to accept being slaves having been sold to whites by corrupt African chiefs in Africa. The roman catholic church single handedly promoted the idea that white skin was better than Black skin long before the protestants did. Research Catholic sponsored images of Jesus and Mary and the angels which are in their churches. The characters are all portrayed as white. Whereas, the earliest images of JC and Mary were Black until the catholics systematically changed them to white as they started invading Africa and Asia. They also forced the white images on the host population of those countries. There are some white catholics who are cool though. But the white catholics need to learn the history of their religion. Roman catholicism can be only be reformed once the inherant peodophile inducing system is torn down and changed to something new - whilst simultaneously teaching white catholics the history of their religion so they are not kept in the dark about the atrocities the roman catholic church committed against Blacks. As for Black catholics, they also need to be taught the true history of that religion. Most of them are uneducated about historical events and simply follow things because of tradition - rather than conducting primary source research on actual historical events. Im cool with any catholics that are cool with me. But i am also brutally intelligent and i want my people to be the same. Hosea 4 v 6 "my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge" So we Blacks are lost according to the bible.
Some American laymen certainly like to dress up.

Is being self righteous and mean spirited always a part of the Latin mass crowd's modus operandi? The Mass evolved for centuries and the Mass that you all pine for so much was not fixed until 1570, a roughly 15 centuries after Jesus died. Personally and ironically, I love the old Latin Mass so much so that in college, I did a 30 page research paper on the history of Missa Solemnis. I also have attended Mass at St. Peter Clavier and found it profoundly spiritual, as much as any Latin Mass I ever attended. Until the Council of Trent there was variation in the Mass even in the Latin Rite. The so called Traditionalists live in a fantasy world of their own making that does not comport with history and ignores how much culture influences liturgical expression and always has. The fetishistic attachment to the Tridentine mass- to the exclusion of Novus Ordo and it manifestations-reflects revisionist liturgical or at least ignorance of the diverse ways Catholics have worshipped.
The traditional rites pre Trent were still used post Trent. Traditional want that aswell
Also because outside of Europe the tridentine mass was used in almost every country
@@pipsasqeak820 I am not sure what your point is.
Praise the Lord !! Loving the praise from the Caribbean !!
Nice liturgical abuse 👍
Really dancig and jumping inside the church?? This is a party party mass. There is no reverence! We need to bring back the traditional latin mass! The more solemn, more reverent and the more holier.
Praise Him with timbrel and dance, with the sound of the trumpet, on the high sounding cymbal. It is actually pretty obedient to Psalm 150. So there's that.
This is the African American form of worship. You wouldn't understand. Mass is supposed to be a celebration. This is how we worship the Lord.
Ok, if you guys are coming to St. Augustine for the coronation then maybe we can meet up? This is practically in my backyard :)
St. Augustine is my diocese so I love the city. It's gorgeous. It has a lot of amazing history and it's also where I spent my honeymoon so it's very special to me. Our Lady of La Leche shrine is a lovely peaceful place to go for quiet prayer and reflection. Definitely if you're every in St. Augustine, go there :)
Nope, the Church here in the US does not say anything at all about mass incarceration nor does it say much about voting rights and let's just be frank--since the vast majority of the bishops are white--many come from a white supremacist viewpoint. I'm not saying they all are but since whiteness is the assumed default--that's the position they're coming from so to them the only, ONLY thing that matters--that they'll spend money on fighting is Abortion. Only abortion. They are not fighting for any of these other serious issues that affect black/brown people and other folks. They just don't care about all this. Most are likely republican and only care about putting more horrible republicans in office. Yes, there's some bishops, a few that buck those trends but frankly they're few and far between. I've noticed this for years. End the drug war. End mass incarceration--do something different than just punitive measures--we need more restoration and mercy than banhammers and other stuff. This is also what covers the whole Biden/communion debate too but yeah--it's glaringly obvious that they just don't care. Meanwhile--many are suffering and the hard fought Civil rights like voting among others are being stripped away over and over again--it's chilling. This is another reason why I'm very angry with the bishops--their spinelessness. Yes, I'm a white woman but I do see just how much they coddle white comfort and how much they really listen and fight for black/brown and other people of color. They don't fight for racial and social justice--to them--it's all about abortion and you know why? Because abortion is SO COMFORTABLE to talk about and fight for especially in comfortable white middle class parishes. If the priests and bishops actually called out these other very serious issues and yes, I've seen where some have--the Karens and Kens get extremely upset that Father would mention such things--blah, blah--socialism--blah--blah and stuff like that. They're racists. It's the sad truth. The Church is universal and has EVERYONE so with that being said--it's past time that the Church in the US stop coddling white comfort and part of that is cut all ties with the evil empire EWTN--which is basically a white supremacist outfit--that's what they are and I'm so sick of that stupid place dictating Catholic culture and Catholic viewpoints on justice issues, etc. They're materials need to be taken out of all parishes and shouldn't be treated as a real Catholic company. I'm sick of them. So yeah, it's past time to shake things up.
Alright sister! You as a White woman just said so much of what young tuned in Black Catholics are wishing could be heard. I am a Black Catholic and don't go to a White church so we often hear about the demon of White supremacy and also about Yeshua crusher of demons but it is helpful to remember that the majority Catholic church in this country are not like my parish-which is CERTAINLY not perfect but intentionally Holy Spirit led-and it makes me feel sad that we cannot be a church that truly crushes the devil's work with regards to the social sin of racism. Catholicism has had its roots in Africa since the begining-Cyril of Alexandria, Tertullian, Felicity and Perpetua, Augustine and Monica-and we are not guests-WE BEEN HERE and we staying and we will bless the whole universal church with our lived experience now whether some folks are ready or not!
I was thoroughly edified by your and Gunnar's discussion. Did not know about the Johnson controversy. Glad for the alert about arenas , spaces and persons that signifcantly denigrate black and brown lives. I'm confident Johnson would NEVER be invited to Fordham University as speaker. Thank you for this video.
Bishop Barron's article that you discussed in this show was in my diocese newspaper. I wrote him this email "In Today's Catholic March 28, 2021 issue on page 12, you talk negatively about Woke Culture. Unfortunate, you do not know the meaning and history of the word woke. Woke was used in African-American communities as early as 1938. Lead Belly used the word in his song Scottsboro Boys to remind African-Americas to be woke i.e. to be aware of the dangers in traveling through the segregated South. By 1990’s. the word met to be aware of what was politically and social happening in your community. Today to be woke is to know what is happening as it pertains to social justice issues (racial, immigration, mental health, education, criminal justice, etc.). Most European-Americans first heard the word woke when used by the Black Lives Matters movement (BLM). BLM uses the word woke to encourage people to be politically and social aware of issues facing African-Americans. As Catholics, we should be woke. Our faith encourages us to be educated on what is happening politically and socially so we can use our talents to address various social justice issues with a Catholic perspective." Never hear back from the Bishop. Today's Catholic has had other articles that used the word "woke" in a negative manner. I wrote Today's Catholic editor asking him to interview African-American Catholics to learn about the history of the word "woke". The editor never did this. Did anyone write Bishop Barron and/or the where his article appeared asking for an article on the history of the word?
Why is there a drums inside the church? They are ruining the liturgy.
Its almost as if some cultures have different ways of worship and not everyone has to conform to your Gregorian chants. Im more of a traditionalist like you but you have to actually be aware some people and cultures interact with God in a different way.
@@tedbruh3903 I was born N O catholic but no dancing like this one. They are disrespecting the church and no reverence.
